The article on the home page says what I have been saying for a while, Sheen dosnt have Head in the 2009 grand plans.

Okay signing Head would be a risk with his history, but the club could not get Benji to sign quick enough and his track record in the injury department isnt crash hot and it didnt stop them signing Scott Prince.

Its funny how Hogo isnt talking the party line and in fact most time the media ask for a comment he throws in a plug for Head, where Sheens and now Ronald cant bring themself to giving him a rap.

You would think they would be throwing him a fist full of dollars, to lead a nrl team around on one and a bit legs and no match fitness takes a bloody good player and barring another major set back will only get better.

Teams like souths penrith must be getting ready to pounce, a quality no7 well you know the old story rare as rocking horse sh.t

We have a quality 7 SC ... Johnny Cronk
We have steve turner and billy slater at the back and noyce is negotiating with Punt Rd to play a home game against melbourne there.
If Head leaves I hope the dopes that make up a chunk of our supporter base wake up and smell the coffee about shines' ego and how it has and will cost the club

Please Lord ... you helped us once with Reynolds ... please strike again

Tigers won't rush to keep Mathew Head

Wests Tigers won't rush to secure Mathew Head beyond this season as they continue monitoring the injury-prone halfback's return to the NRL.
Head's tentative comeback to top flight rugby league continues on Saturday night when he plays his fourth straight NRL match against Brisbane at ANZ Stadium.
The former St George Illawarra star has shown glimpses of his best since taking over the playmaking role against Canberra in round four, but three years of knee troubles have the Tigers wary of making a long-term commitment just yet.
"We're taking things easy at the moment, he's got a long way to go and he knows that himself," Tigers recruitment manager Warren McDonnell said.
"We're only up to round eight this week so we're going to take a bit more time. Mat knows what Tim wants him to do so we're not rushing into it and he's fine with that."
Head was talked up as a future representative player before injury struck midway through the 2005 season.
He made several failed comebacks with the Dragons before they eventually lost patience with the diminutive playmaker, releasing him to take up an offer with Hull in the Super League before the Tigers threw him a 12-month lifeline.
While he still looks well short of his pre-injury best, Head's worth could rise over the coming weeks if his comeback stays on track. And McDonnell said the club would be happy to increase any offer if they believed Head's form warranted it.
"He's got to play better, if he does and he gets back to his old form we're happy to pay the money," McDonnell said.
"But we're not rushing in stupidly at the moment.
"We've got a good relationship with him and his manager and he knows we gave him a chance this year and he knows what he has to do to stay here."
Tigers skipper Brett Hodgson said the prospect of having a fit and firing combination of Head, Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah controlling the ruck would be enough to have every Tigers fan salivating.
"We've got the potential that if we can stay fit and get our key players on the park, while you don't know what's at the end of the tunnel there's a bit of light there," Hodgson said.
"If we're all there it definitely brings a few different dimensions to our attacking ability."

Quite a stretch there

Benji talked about being excited of playing with head, same with hodgo. Everyone in the world can see who the better option is except Mr 39% since 1996

Shines has a plan SC
7 = Johnny Cronk
1 = Steve Turner and Billy Slater in 1 body
We will play with 14
Shines is an innovator ...

I can see it now, junior burger up in the line at first receiver drifting across field picking up a flying Lawrie white legs with a deft little pass or going into dummy half fains to pass to the open dashes to the blind throws a dummy and strolls over for a meat pie. At this point the doctor told me I should double my medication and come back next week

I love the bit where Head is told what is expected of him to keep his spot in the team.

I'm sure Sheens told Matt Head, "If you play just like Johnny Morris you get to keep your spot on the team and get a pay rise."

God help us.

Marshall, Hodgson, and in a classic "broken down Halfback" move- Prince. But Head ain't worth the punt? Not while WT has Johnny Fantastic, I guess. Not buying the "happy to increase it" line. He is on bargain basement price now. His value is rising, by the minute.

Yes, indeed, great move. "Wait awhile". The wait isn't to see if his "form" or "fitness" shapes up... it's to ensure that he will be in such demand that we can be given a refrain of "Sorry, but we just couldn't afford it". Especially with the WonderHalf's extension and upgrade due in 09. Johnny will morph into the Cronkmeister yet, fear not.

We'll wait, he'll get a mega-fat offer elsewhere, and we'll cry poor, what with the next Cronk and Slater to keep out of the hands of ravenous, jealous clubs. When Head rips us a new one next year somewhere else, out will come a chorus of- "Oh well, couldn't be helped. Hindsight and all that..."

Am just finding it really, really hard to buy the "smoke and mirrors" line any more.

Fancy getting a spray "He has to play better" from a fat arse turd like Ronald

I suppose Head can cop it sweet when the Supercoach gives him spray after spray, but when the obese recruitment guru throws his considerable weight around he might start to wonder just how wanted/unwanted he is here.

Head has been in First Grade 4 weeks and has had spray after spray from Sheens and now Ronald. Whilst Morris has been here 18 months and only good things.

Head has made a rather ordinary team look pretty good, especially considering key players with injuries, John Morris playing and Head's form and fitness not even at 100% yet.

It just seems so obvious, it should be slapping Sheens and co right in the face with a piece of wood bigger than the Eiffel f**king tower.

After Heingos game in the City Country, we'd better hurry up, because his stock is skyrocketing right now and the vultures will be circling.
