Tim Lafai v Taane Milne

Speaking of rabbits, do you think that Robbie Farrah was a good buy for them? I don't know. Cook is quality and seems to be showing him up at the moment.
What do you think about Robbie Farrah OV?

If he's being paid commensurate to his age (as in close to retirement), I'm ok with Wobbie. Never been a big fan though.

In regards to Milne, I get the feeling the club know he won't be sticking around at seasons end. Apparently the Tigers are chasing him along with Packer & Widdop.

Then if that is the case we will be potentially losing a good young centre.
Not the end of the world though, I think given the amount of footy he has played if he was ever going to be a super player he would have made it by now.

If Taane Milne was giving the same latitude as Lafai was given last year "he would have made it by now"
Yes but in Millward's plans, Dugan and Aitken are the options at right centre and Lafai and a junior are the options at left centre. So no room for Milne or Mann at centre. Macdonald is still under contract and the only potential vacancy would be a wing spot if Nightingale retired. Maybe Mann but I expect us to buy a right winger as our juniors are not ready as yet.

Yeah dunno. Its one of those hypotheticals that we will never know the answer to.
I do agree though that he should leave the dragons and go to a club which will select him as a run on center.
He isn't going to get that this year at dragons barring injury. I think mann would be next in line after lafai and aitken.

Milne has probably played 8-10 games for us at NRL level. I remember him for being involved in a few tries and a few dropped balls at NRL level and making
little impact in the NSW Cup. Mann on the other hand has regularly won games for the Club in the NRL and NSW Cup. I believe that Mann is our No. 1 winger and should be in the NRL
starting side.

Millward and hes f**king whiteboard, he thinks he can plan 100% for the future, well if life/sports was that simple we would all be living in a perfect world...

I think Dragons will make a play for Tupou as Roosters are releasing him SDK, Fergurson - i know Dragons were sniffing around last year.

release Milne, Mann, u get enough change to sign up Dugan, Widdop and sign Tupou

I'd say we'll go close to signing Dugan, Widdop and Packer with TPA's in tow. I would say that either Nightingale stays on for 2018 - is the only Dragon who can obtain marquee allowance - or we will just bring one of juniors through.

Hope Dugan, Widdop, Hunt and McInnes will be our spine in 2018.

I must admit Lafai is hitting his straps and popping out those late backhand Gasniereqsue passes.. Special skill needed for that kind of play .. He's done it 3 times this year all resulting in tries.. Can't defend against that kind of skill !

Apart from a random one off brain fart at the start of last season, Mann has been outstanding every time he has taken the field at NRL level........i have no idea why people are so keen to offload him. And to get rid of him to sign Tupou?.......that's an even bigger no for me.

I think you are referring to the long-term player allowance, and JDB is also eligible I believe.

I have to say that I was critical of Lafai's selection this year, especially ahead of Milne. Well Lafai's form today has made me reassess him and his place in our team. He is now playing very well, the kind of form that had him being spoken of as a future NSW centre in 2014. I would now being looking to sign him up for another 2 years.

I still think that Milne should be one of the centres. I would now have Lafai and Milne as our centres.

It's been widely reported Lafai was a standout in pre-season.

It's pretty simple for mine...he has the confidence back with his body and that takes time with bad leg injuries. Just look at the leg work he put on the Cowboys in the first half!

Good to see and enjoying watching him.
