Apologies lads, I meant the red V & the red V only. The collar didn't even hit on my radar.

Can we please talk about something that makes more sense. Like having a carbon tax, or why pigs fly.

Change the Red V?

The day they get rid of the Red V is the day I stop following Rugby League

I read a little while back that there was some conjecture over how many premierships we have won, is it 16 for the St George side of the merger & 1 for the Illawarra side, or is it just 1 for the St George Illawarra era. Firstly I wore the St George jersey with pride during the mid 70's in the lower grades & I am still proud that todays side plays in the same colours as I did, but over time I am starting to believe that it may be time to unite both sides with their own jersey. Illawarra would not be in the competition today if it hadn't been for St George bailing them out financially, but St George would of found it difficult as a stand alone club & may have had to re - look at the merger with the Roosters or another club further down the track. To say we were lucky that both St George & the Illawarra executives had the foresight to merge is an understatement of huge proportions, if we take a look at how many Illawarra juniors have played for the joint venture compared to how many St George juniors have played, the difference would be staggering & weigh heavily on the Illawarra side. The way I see it is that we have won 1 premiership with many more to come, so why not design another jersey? it's not that we would have to change the colour, & myself as a fanatical St George supporter would feel just as proud to support it. If I have offended anyone from both sides of the fence I am sorry, but after 10 plus years of playing together there should'nt be a fence.

Don't you just love the off-season??

We should never discard the Red V, just this discussion of the Red V. Maybe, Roscco, if you are genuine, choose something else which reflects your knowledge of this great club. Otherwise, it's farewell, I'm afraid.

I don't think the Red V will be changed. There will be all sorts of changes in the future and if the game is played on the moon the players will trot out wearing the Red V.

Red and White would go well with Sky Blue and Black- St George Cronulla Illawarra Dragons the merge that has to happen as does Parramatta merging with Penrith to become the Parramatta Panthers

Advice from dead commo general :D

The greatest General (promoted to Marshall) of the great patriotic war (world war 2)

The man who inflicted more decisive defeats against Nazi forces than anyone else, is also the least known in the West. Yet Georgi Zhukov (1896-1974), the Russian marshal who commanded the Red Army from 1941, was hailed in 1945 by US General, and later President, Dwight ‘Ike’ Eisenhower, as ‘the man to whom the United Nations owes a greater debt’ than to any other military figure, for his triumphs against Hitler’s armies.

Thick-set, with handsome features, pale blue eyes peering through rimless glasses, known as a social drinker, fine dancer and non-smoker, Georgi Konstantinovich Zhukov was also regarded by many as brusque, coarse and stubborn, even excessively severe – an accusation frequently levelled at him during the carnage on the Nazi-Soviet Front. Doubtless, he was ruthless and often pitiless. Zhukov admitted being sharp-tongued but excused himself saying that when thousands of lives were in the balance and a huge operation was under way, there was little time for delicacy.
