Go see the bait man DJ

Not fishing at all, Cap'n.
I honestly think there's no time like the present.

Start easing them out, starting with the least effective/productive of the triumvirate: Wade.

That’s my only reservation - doing it mid-season.
But Trindall has been training pretty much full time for the past 18 months. More often than not he’s 18th man.
He’s clearly being prepared to step in when Nicho is on rep duties, or Moylan, inevitably, misses time through injury.

He was sensational in the opening rounds, albeit partnering Moylan.

I just feel the day is drawing nearer that it needs to happen.
A team will pick up Tricky and we will be stuck with Moylan. Finugan will slide further and Wade will retire.
TH is the coming man up front . Coaching box is wood for the tree’s.

Bumpity bump.

I think the time is perfect to start the transition.
Bye next week followed by Dragons and Tigs, Warriors away, then Manly at home.

That’s a good stretch to start bringing guys in and getting them used to first grade before the bigger games at the pointy end.

Moylan gets a stay of execution, for now.

But Toby’s back, so we need to find a spot somewhere.

Tommy has earned his spot, and with Toby back we don’t need to worry about minutes.

Sorry Wade, it’s time to go.

I agree, there's no better time to do it than 2 weeks training with the new combination and then Dragons and Tigers.

My apologies. McInnes it is. Yes he has energy , but he gets rag dolled regularly, plus going straight at defenders and being stopped cold. We need taller and heavier bodies for that sort of work.

Well never was McInnes fan ,but I think he brings some things much needed to the club. Goes 100% all day long, Intimidated by no one, Trains with same intensity as he plays.... Are these not values the club should be prioritizing ? Sure if could replace him with a super robot that never gets ragdolled , (Probably pace themselves too ) you might consider it , but far as I know, the powers that be still hold sharks accountable to salary cap. Unlike some other clubs.... Cough cough ... Feeling a bit Horse .

McInnes is a perfect bench player really. He gets through a mile of defence and is there to get the ball to the D line and get those quick pub's. He's struggled a bit with handling but he is one of those players a coach relies on to do a specific job, which he does well.

Ok tell me what is this ‘specific job’ that he dose so well?
Is it getting the ball to the D line and playing the ball quickly? Be nice if he could bend it.
Getting through a mile of Defence? As compared to BB?
Being the perfect bench player? Can fill in for who?

Bending the line isn’t the only way to assist your team. Smaller forwards like him are there to find their front and get a play the ball in under 3 seconds.
Leaving the vending to those that should do it but don’t consistently. Hunt, BHU, Rudolph, Williams. They are the big men.

Exactly they should be bending the line next play the ball you hit McInness he will make 20 bust the line that's how you use him

I think it's getting closer by the day to the time when Moylan is switched out for Trindall.

The game last night is another one which got away.
Plenty of opportunities, but just couldn't ice them.

And Moylan, for all his class, just looks to be off the pace this year.
He had a couple of moments last night, but some stinkers as well.

By all accounts Trindall is braining them when he gets a chance back in Reggies.
I say it's time to make the move, sooner rather than later, so it has time to settled heading into the back end of the season.
Well ,we left the Porch light on and Harold Holt finally came home. Maybe Gough will come back too! "its Time !"
