Getting to my first game there in couple of weeks time (v panthers). Staying at hotel near by and wondering best place for beers before and after game, and and any good eating places near the stadium? Cheers.

Closed down for now. Pretty sure the church is gone too. You must have been pretty drunk, it was called 'The Bavarian'.

Lol they use to be called the lowenbrau or Bier Keller.

I live in hornsby, i only go to parra for games.

Holy Basil is excellent Thai
Kouzina Greco is maybe best Greek I've had.
If want either of these id book.

Saravanaa Bhavan is excellent Indian food. Its vegan but is amazing food. No need to book.

The Rose and Crown on Victoria Rd just east of Church street is a good place for a beer on game day. Could be crowded that night though, which isn't a bad thing. Adds to the atmosphere.
Not sure if the reincarnation of the Royal Oak just around the corner is open yet.
Church street and some of the side streets in the city centre have a multitude of restaurants of all cuisines.
Many great Asian, Mexican, Italian, Lebanese, Greek, etc......

One certainty in Parramatta is that there are no shortage of fine dining options, or cheaper pub or club meals if that's your go. There are some nice restaurants under the Meriton Tower beside the river on Church street.

Everywhere will be heaving that night, so get there early.
Most places in the centre of Parra are just a 5-10 min walk to the stadium.
Are you staying in the centre of Parra?

I can concur with the first two. The best Thai in Parra used to be Saute, next the Kouzina Greco. Was open for years and always full. Not sure why it shut down. Covid maybe?
Haven't eaten at the Indian.

For a game at Cumberland Oval head to Royal Oak for schooners before and after and kick on at War and Peace. Eating is cheating.

Times may have changed.

Where is it?

The one problem @Perth Red won't have is finding great food in Parra.
The last place I'd go for dinner in Parra is the Leagues Club.

It's on Phillip st but you go in opposite direction of the Greek at the T intersection so you turn left not right. You walk past the car park and it is on the right. If get a chance try it.
