Titans will win the Grand Final

I wouldn't trade Friend for any of the above. His work rate is outstanding, and from short-range, there is no deadlier dummy half in the game. The tries he creates for his forwards are fantastic- Lafrancci will well you that.

And Kevin Gordon will be a special for Rookie of the year. Idris is inconsistent and has been injured for much of the season, Mortimer has come on too late and will be hurt by playing in a losing team. Same with Locke. ?So Gordon will pick up the gong.

I Am a huge fan of the Titans, I like their style of footy and think they have been written off as well, and do have what it takes to shock teams in the finals like the Tigers did in 05.
But their is to much bias in your comments.

Is that why your club threw a certain amount of MOney at Robbie Farah.?
And aren't they even allowing to Friend to look around?

Kevin Gordon should be a nomination but definitly is behind Daniel Mortimer, Jamal Idris and Josh Dugan.

Friend has been resigned, he is a great player, and is a massive cog in our side. We were crazy looking elsewhere, but Searle knows what he is doing IMO.

Gordon is a winger so he wont get Rookie of the year, but this kid is all class, and will be a future rep player i have no doubt.

Jeeeesus.

The 4th time lucky fans really are quite touchy, a 4th time lucky fan starts a thread stating they do not get enough recognition and that they will win the GF. Talk about arrogance.

Other people offer opinions that differ to the author's and their knickers get in a knot, how very GC.

I hope they do well Daz, but the author has got off very lightly. Imagine if a supporter of Bris/Melb/doggies/drags started this thread.

Titans please......they have to sit and watch the big teams play for a few years yet.

You mean like your team who pull 7,000 crowds to a crumbling park- even after winning the GF and WCC?

And your team who's fanances is shot that even the wealthy private owners want out cos they aren't making any money in a dead market like Sydney?

Puhlease. SE QLD is the future of RL, and we allready have a better club (off the field) than 90% of NRL clubs, and this year it can translate onto the field as we are certainly playing good enough and deserve the credit for it.

i like the Titans (especially Carty) but this thread is a bit ridiculous.

no one should be saying their team is gonna win the GF. we are top of the table and no way would i announce us even being in the GF as a certainty, let alone winning it.

This thread shows two things, all the 4th time lucky fans want is the media spotlight and media adoration.

This thread also shows how easily they get upset, a few people disagree with the thread title and the 4th time lucky fans get a bit upset, afterall we cant have other supporters disagreeing with the complete arrogance of this threads title.

How very GC.

Actually as it showed was how insecure STG/ILL fans are, they see a fan giving there own team a wrap and making some bold statements, and jockeys like you have spent days trying to turn it into a STG Thread, screaming at us

Fancy living in a place you despise so much, are you sill living with your parents or something? Life is too short, if you dont like the place, get your sh*t together and move, i will even drive you to the airport myself.

I think you are mistaken, I am not screaming, just offering an opinion. Afterall this is a public forum.

I see you take exception to any number of RL fans commenting on this arrogant thread (not all StG fans by the way), if you think that is trying to turn it into a STG thread, get help. If you want it a GC only thread, well request it be moved.

I despise parts of the coast, thats no secret. No I don't live with my parents, again I think that is a GC thing. I am glad mummy made you your breakfast this morning, in bed I suspect.

Thankfully I dont live on the gold coast.

Can I offer you another bit of advice, turn your webcam off.

I'd love to see the Gold Coast win the Grand Final. They've lacked the depth in previous seasons - if Prince or Campbell go down, they lost no matter what - but this season is a bit differentt.

You've got a young backline dripping with talent. You've got a very capable fullback in Zillman, which frees up Campbell and means he can get more involved, which can only be a good thing. And your forward pack isn't full of big names, but they are all very capable individually and are very well coached.

I see three weaknesses:

1 - You don't have a capable replacement at halfback if Prince is injured. Best bet is probably 6. Rogers and 7. Campbell, but neither are great organisers and Rogers isn't playing anywhere near as well as he did last year.

2 - Friend doesn't offer a lot in attack. I rate him as one of the better hookers, and his defence is superb, but he doesn't have a kicking game and while he is nippy enough to make quite a few metres out of dummy half runs, he doesn't let his teammates know and always finds himself isolated and without support, which snuffs the try.

3 - Your bench sucks hard. It's a good thing you can get plenty of minutes out of your starting backrow, because the bench options are all awful.

In your favour though, Prince is the preeminent halfback in the NRL - and thats coming from a Cowboys fan. I think Thurston is a better all-round player. I think Thurston is tougher (less time out with injury) and more versatile because he can play both 5/8 and halfback equally well, and drifts between the two during a game. But Prince is the better specialist halfback.

And Cartwright is a brilliant coach. The Titans always looks so well-drilled and so rehearsed, but can still play off-the-cuff-footy really well.

I don't know if the Titans can make it all the way to a premiership - only a few of your players have played in the finals and that was years ago. Finals inexperience may come back to bite you. Ditto the grand final being played in Sydney.

well, the GC may be a dive, but i'd still cheer for them over the dogs, st merge, storm, etc

Don't feel so bad 99% of NRL fans are cheering on the rorters to carry the spoon. Jeeeesus didn't take long for the rorters fans to turn on freddie did it?

Yeah the Titans will win as long as it's not against the Cows. Haha what a pathetic display from a team wanting to be recognised as a threat.

Arrogant fans such as the thread starter are the reason no one takes your team seriously.

Good luck with the slide.
