He's been doing that since 2022.And so it continues:
Shaun Lane is taking some time away from the game

Forget Brown, I reckon Ryles has given a number of players 6 weeks (1/4 of the season) to prove their worth in adjusting to the style he wants to play and this week's droppings to reserve grade are a sign they haven't passed "the test".
It could be very exciting.
As for the game, Moses is back to try to steady the ship with his kicking game, but not much time to dust the cobwebs off, he will have to hit the ground running.
But hes certified Big Match player.
Moving Gutho on was a brave call for a rookie coach who hadn't even had a session with the guys.I love to hear that.
It's exactly what we need - the new sheriff in town needs to lay down the law.
I love that Ryles, as a rookie, is confident in making these decisions. It shows genuine leadership.
I reckon they’re overachieving big time. Just shows how weak the current NRL is.It's taken the Dogs 3 seasons to get to where they currently are.
This isn't going to happen overnight, let alone this season.

Interesting take.
I wouldn't say the NRL is weak at all.
In fact, I'd go as far as saying that it has never been stronger.
This season is proving that on any given day, any team can beat any other.
Last night is the perfect example. Melbourne go out to a 14 point lead in very short time, then the Dolphins put 40 unanswered points on them until two late consolation tries. Who would have predicted that? Does this make Melbourne weak?
The Panthers and Roosters have arguably two of the strongest squads yet look where they are. Nearly all teams have strong squads now.
ATM though, we seem to be the outlier unfortunately. I have hope that will change.
I'm loving this season. Unfortunately, my footy tipping isn't.
Edit: As for the Bulldogs, they are where they are because their defence is so committed. We are where we are, because ours has been appalling.

Canberra or Canterbury, I'm thinking.I agree. Dogs are going well but I don’t think they have improved that much from last year tbh.
Not complaining as it makes it an interesting comp and every game is a contest but the quality of teams isn’t great at all.
I think if Melbourne are on they are still the team to beat but they also managed to get beaten by the Dragons and pumped by the Fins.
A team could come from the clouds to win it this year. Just need to be in good form at the right end of the season.
Get to play Souths off a 6 day break from Perth. The Dogs were fortunate enough to play Dragons, Titans, and Parra in the first 3 games. All three will finish bottom 6.
They've since played Sharks, Knights and Souths. Only one of those is a genuine Top 8 team, the other two will likely not finish in the Top 8, but could if other teams turn to shit.
But, you only have to beat what is in front of you.
2005 anyone?I agree. Dogs are going well but I don’t think they have improved that much from last year tbh.
