just on another note...i'm warming to the thought of the kiwi outfit with both marshall and williams added to the team. By that time though stacey will prolly have moved on which would present another problem in the halves

Inglis by far was the difference.

Gasnier and Hodges both have to swap in the centres. Rest of the backline can remain the same no drama's.

Mason comes in, O'Meley bench, Tupou off.

Is Maitua coming back? If so put him at lock, drop either Ryan or Thaiday. Out of the two, Thaiday stays as he offers more impact, had a good debut IMO.

Smith needs the full 80 minutes at hooker. Berrigan as a backrower who makes a few scoots from dummy half. He actually has a decent play the ball which puts the defence on the backfoot, besides his utility factor is good.

My 3,2,1.

3. Greg Inglis
2. Shotayne Hape
1. Karmichael Hunt

I thought Lockyer and Thurston were both a bit off tonight. Still not making the right decisions IMO.

While for the Kiwi's unlucky guys. You out enthused us and wanted the game more. Just a few dumb decisions by dead weight players *coughVangana*cough* ruined it.

Good luck next week guys!

I've gained alot of respect for Matai tonight. I've always felt that he's a brain explosion away from costing a game, but his passion and intensity is suited to the arena of test footy.

Great match and if Melbourne weren't happy with that, than nothing will ever satisfy them! What's the story with SBW and the Volcano? Surely those two would've been one of the first picked?

Also the Dogs youngster Roberts needs to be picked over Vagana. His running and eye for the try line has declined to the point where he's a liability.

I agree with you, however sometimes he does go overboard. He does some really stupid things (i.e cheapshots). But overall, I'm really happy he's improving!

For starters the Hunt no-try, was a try. Jones did the academy award!

Any attacking player taking a defensive player out of the play to create space is obstruction. Isn't it ?

This is what happened in both cases, same tactical attacking move by Australia, two different rulings from the ref.

Its not all bad when you play ordinary and still win...lucky though, the Aussies rarely looked structured, even less than last week which is a worry.
Pretty ordinary game all round, bar some touches of brilliants from a cuople indibvials

Absolutely Gutted - and also angry, we stuffed that opportunity up - full credit to Australia. Im not sure if we can recover from that. Ive never seen Hape play that well (except for that miss on Inglis). All the 50-50s went our way in that match tho - was suprising. Australia only turned up to play in the last 4 minutes - champion team. We need to add some new players to the team next week to lift the enthusiasm levels.

Dont think anyone will call Kidwell a coward after tonights perfomance. He ran it into the teeth of the Aussie forwards.

Brent Webb will be dissapointed with that effort on Gasnier at the end, he went too far across in cover defence, no way Gaz was gunna go for the corner Vatuvei had it covered. Ah well hindsight is wonderful i suppose.

Errors in general and defence were a terrific improvement on last week (hence the scoreline) but still a coulple too many (hence the loss).

Not very confident for next week - i think we just played our final, thats my feeling anyhow.

Once again congrats Aussie - class told, Inglis is amazing, and very humble. Hopefully see you in the final.

Felt sorry for Benji on the panel at the end.

Id switch the centre and have the experience of Hape with Soliola(where he played tonight) and the experience of Whatuira with Vatuvei

Maybe...if you like mistakes galore left right and centre, crap GP kicking, crap goal kicking....seriously some of it resembled u10s stuff.

I've gotta agree with innsaneink that it wasn't as great a game as some are making out, great contest but not a great spectacle. Similar to Origin 3, sh*t game but great contest and great finish, that hard ground and having the roof closed doesn't encourage free flowing football.

Inglis, Inglis, Inglis! What a player. I swear, just let one of the second rowers double as a centre and push that centre out to the wing and let Inglis f**king play wherever the f**k he pleases.
