Stupid people = stupid arguments. Which sport is more popular on an international basis? Not AFL. In fact, the only thing that comes close to AFL is Gaelic Football. Wasn't there a match a year or two ago where they selected an Australian side, but we had to adapt our game to the Gaelic style?

Rugby League certainly is doing a lot better. Hypothetically, if they had to choose one of the two codes for the Olympics, it's definately not going to be them.

Victoria needs to embrace Rugby League. They're too one-eyed. Walking down the street in Melbourne two weeks ago with a Storm scarf (I'm still a Manly supporter), some guy said to me "go the Crows". Can people really be that dumb?

KulaShaker, the AFL ages back had a couple of games against Ireland. It was a hybrid of Aussie Rules and Gaelic Rules. It was met with some popularity, or at least I think it was, and as a result they now have annual matches post-season. They label the hybrid game "international rules".

A stupid game that is only played by two teams once or twice a year, but gives the AFL and the AFL mad media a false belief that someone outside of Australia actually gives a shit about their game.

Yep, they can if they are AFL supporters. I couple times this season when I was heading home after a Storm game I had people ask me how the Richmond Tigers went, even though my scarf clearly says "STORM". Having said that, after every home game this season I had at least one person ask me how the Storm went. A couple times I was even asked when I was on my way home from the pub after watching an away game.

We really do have some ignorant Australians both north and south of the Murray.
Who really cares which game is better or which game draws bigger crowds. These two games are completely different and have very little in common.

Damn, I flew from Melbourne to go to the NRL grand final. Enjoyed all three grades.

I hate the storm, but i still love rugby league and will still go to storm games. By the way, I also love AFL, union, soccer and american football. Sport is sport, all of them are different and thats why i like them all..
