Congratulations to the club on signing Hayne, Mateo, Inu, Keating bros & congrats to not being held to ransom on a young player whom everybody has seen say he is talented but lazy. Screw him if we can lock up play makers like Albert Kelly , Hodkinson, Hunt and Mitchell and have a pack of forwards who roll up their sleeves and have a go thats all I want, not a flashy but lazy bloke who has no loyalty. Manly wanted Mateo but have had to settle for 2nd best.
If this had to happen to top up Albert Kelly's contract to keep him long term than the right decision was made. In 5 years he could be the best player in the nrl and Williams will be another Dean Widders

By the way good luck to Tony for getting some good cash for all know he and his family may need it and if he plays well for them good on him, but I am glad my club did'nt pay HUGE overs on the basis of potential.

You may be right but you'll change your tune if he becomes a superstar. Only time will tell if the right decision was made.

I'm f**king ropable.

This is the same Tony Williams that you have been saying all year is not ready for the nrl because of attitude and lack of involvment right? Well guess what maybe he never will be. If a bloke his size can't find the will to impose himself on a game against other kids then I do not think he will be doing it in a hurry against some tougher stronger hard heads.

I'll sign - voting member.

You can't keep them ll, but you have to keep this one!

Finch, the only regular first grader recruited in four years (and we didn't recruit him we picked him up when he was released and every other club had spent their money).

No one at the club is doing recruitment and no one is is doing much in the way of retention. What are you doing Fitz, running the empire right down so that when you tell the memebrs we are merging and moving it will look like an attractive option?

wrong Cardinal..

this is the same guy who I've seen come through the ranks since Harold Mathews and have said on numerous occasions that he's not ready for first grade due to his lack of involvement in games and needs to be challenged but concedes that pound for pound with Albert Kelly is one of the best footballers at the club, I've also said that Physically, he is ready but has yet to realize it and would need a full off season off first grade training before we unleash him properly.

it was never a question "will" it was a question of "when"...

Stagger to you support the view that we should pay overs for the kids coming through ? Seriously, ignoring the Tony Williams thing, but how can we compete with clubs offering untested NYC players $200k plus contracts ? We could easily spend half our cap of kids and may not even make it.

How hard to we try and keep young Mortimer if a rival club offers him a motza ?

I will sign this letter as well.

The club won't get another cent from me until things start changing. We are already poorly run, with the least sponsorship of any Sydney Club, a poor first grade coach, very poor recruiting/retention, and a poor future outlook (listening to Fitzy).

Dennis, by all means run the leagues club, but ffs disassociate yourself and divest control of the football operations! Change the structure of the Clubs so that Football Club members actually do have a say. Maybe that way you will get more members!

From what I have heard coaches say training is one of his least favourite things. Attitude is everything in this game, he may be another Owen Cragie.

I’m in.
I have had 3 season tickets for the past 10 years but with the player loses and the games at ANZ I might consider not renewing some or all of them next year.

I could understand letting juniors go if we had made a couple of big signings but we have brought no-one. In the last 2 years we have lost or are losing Tony Williams, Mark Riddell, Wade McKinnon, PJ Marsh, Tim Smith, Timana Tahu, Ian Hindmarsh, Glenn Morrison, Brett Delaney, Luke O'Dwyer, Aaron Cannings, Dean Widders, Ben Farrar, Michael Vella, Blake Green, Justin Tsoulos, Zeb Taia, John Williams & David Williams and all we have signed in that period is Joe Galuvao, Richard Fa'aoso, Todd Lowrie & Brett Finch.

Our player retention is a joke, I under stand that Inu & Hayne cost us a bit but where the f**k has the rest of the salary cap money gone. With no players brought & Fitzgerald recently saying “Within a couple of years we won't be able to, under the current circumstances, afford to pay the total amount of the salary cap" (http://www.leaguehq.com.au/news/news/dragons-might-not-spend-cap/2008/05/24/1211183183419.html) I am starting to think that maybe we don’t have the cash to spend the entire 4 million cap. The way the club is going they will probably decide to release the Keating boys to the UK and replace them with Joe Williams.

We have signed more players in the lower grades and if you are going to mention players that are only lower graders then you should include all these signings.

Also, we have increased contracts on quite a few emerging players.

it's about making the right decsions and manageing your roster, something we can't get a grasp on at the moment.

Colonel said this morning, that we should of tied this kid up in January, I tend to agree, tbh I actually thought his contract was up at the end of 09.

further to all this I had intersting conversation with someone "in the know" this morning who's advised me to ignore the excuse of money offered to Williams, as it wasn't about that.

fmd.

You mean a lot of you guys have just realised how badly run this club is? What rock are you living under? This type of thing has been going on at our club for years and I have had a gutful years ago.

Fitzy has come out this morning saying the cap should be lowered. Well obviously he has taken it upon himself to ensure we do that at this club.

This news about Williams and Mannah does not surprise me one little bit. I am used to it.

Seriously guys - are you all really that surprised. I still can't believe that the club somehow, managed to resign Inu and Hayne. I really can't.

News has come through after a press release today of the signing by Manly of our promising young junior, Tony Williams.

Below, is a list of Parramatta supporters from the League Unlimited site that are not only angry with this decision, but disappointed with the current direction this club is taking with regards to it's recruitment policy.

Signed.......................................
