That's right stats don't show the true picture. You asked "best forward in attack" I thought Pato was dangerous in attack consistantly throughout the game.

You can really see the potential in wixxie... but jeeze the bloke needs to pull his head out of his ass. Aslong as he is in firstgrade, we will struggle to win games TBH...

Smithy tried to go with a defensive team and in turn, pulled out one of the worst defensive teams we could have picked at present.

You forgot to mention his try, (an honest oversight I'm sure) and what have tackle counts got to do with attacking stats? (you did ask about attack I think)

Yes he scored a try - Thank god - but that would be 1 of his hit ups and that was only for about 3 metres so his other 7 hit ups were for even less - He got caught with the ball a few times, I don't know whether he was part of a set move that broke down or not but there wasn't many times that he hit the line looking for yards - but hey it's your pick.

These stats don't say that Cross missed to tackles that led to tries, where as Bedsy's tackles were easily covered by players up the other end of the field.

Cross makes 24 tackles Bedsy makes 15.

10 of bedsys are 1 on 1
1 of Cross's is 1 on 1.
Who has done more hard work?

Cross + Patto both make 12 hitups.
Cross runs for 120m
Patto runs 100m.
Patto scores 4 tries off these hitups.
Cross ran 70m in 1 hitup... making 11 hitups = 50m...

See how these stats mean different things in terms of work rate and effort.

LOL. Your not going to drag me into any more argument, you asked the question I answered it. Paterson is one of the best attacking forwards we have.

Tony said Cross was ordinary. You have taken some sort of offence to that for some reason believing that he ment sh*thouse. Most of the team were 'ordinary'.

Cross has been extremely poor for Newcastle. That is fact. He has played 6-7 games and those games were very 'ordinary'. We paid big money for him. It may be hampered because he has not been on the field... but those preformances have been well below par... also considering he is talking about test footy at the end of the year and played SOO whilst missing many games for Newcastle... he is proving to me beyond doubt he was not money well spent.

Stranger I definetely see how stats can work in different ways but ther is still absolutely NONE that were displayed todayed to say that ben CROSS was ORDINARY - which is what this whole saga is about - He was our best metre eater and right up ther with the tackles. And thats a first up effort from a spell.
