Sorry, but what a ridiculous statement.

Shall the CEO just pick and choose when to drop in and out of the charges from each weekend?

Or shall it just be when the media etc have a whinge........like I don't know...........Brett Stewart or Mitchell Pearce??

The CEO has nothing and should have nothing to do with it. If Greenberg had fixed up the process when he was in charge of operations it may not be in this situation right now.

Didn't he make a statement last week about Klemmers charge for touching the ref?

I heard Geoff Toovey seriously was interested in getting a position at the NRL.He is a chartered accountant, played the game and coached and was on the NRMA board.
Could duo a lot worse IMO.

Not directly, but a comment from the Head of Football and CEO Candidate would surely affect the decision...

The only comment I am aware being made by Greenberg was AFTER the judiciary cleared him.

So not going to affect anything in anyway.

Now if he had the power to step in and over-rule a decision - that would be mind bogglingly insane and dangerous.......

Hi Todd.

By Andy Silver

The rage is still strong in Dragons country with fans starting a petition in an attempt to reform the governance of the club.

The petition, which was started this weekend, calls for change, saying the current board of directors are unfit for the role.

“We request the Australian Rugby League Commission take action on behalf of the members of the St George Illawarra Dragons to force governance reform upon the board of the St George Illawarra Dragons,” the petition says.

“We believe the current board of directors are unfit to continue to progress our club, as evidenced by financial debt, poor staffing decisions, declining crowds/membership and poor on field results.

“We believe there has been an acceptance of mediocrity within the organisation and that without urgent action, one of the proudest and most popular clubs in the game will continue to decline.

“There is a lack of accountability on behalf of the board and due to an unfair electing system, we have no other voice to enact change.”

As well as gathering over 300 signatures in less than a day, the petition received a huge amount of positive comments.

“Sick of being told mediocrity is ok,” wrote Dylan. “It’s time for massive changes starting with Doust.”

Dan added: “I want change at my club. With McGregor sacked and Peter Doust resigning. I want to get back to loving the NRL again.”
