the current Perth side

and no visionary comment is fantastic because it's got you all pissed off and not being able to sleep at night

probably bad news for your dog though

Oh that one, yeh going ok thanks, cash convertors is bank rolling them. They are a long way behind on the field the nothef SG ball teams generally but good to test themselves in the toughest under 18's comp. does that answer your question?

Glad your happy with a CEO with no vision, you're a truly outstanding rugby league man.

Well if you want to get pedantic I didn't say "ever",
For the pedants, there will be no expansion in the foreseeable future ie likely next 5 years  or as Todd said short to medium term they arent even going to look at it. You can all make up your own parameters for what he means by medium term

The no expansion for at least 5 years surely isn't news to you only since Greenberg's appointment to the job on Frriday?

You have seemed to be aware of the details of the last TV deal, and Richo's expansion review which have led everyone else to make the same conclusion?

Now I know where the election donkey votes comes from.

The Sharks had to pay $1m in legal fees re the ASADA debacle.
They were fined initially $1m that reduced to $600,000 due to lack of management practices during the ASADA stuff up..
The Sharks had a Monday night cyclone playing Souths and lost at least 10,000 paying fans in the process.

When one does a financial analysis ,its best to also look at where the monies being paid out or lost revenue opportunities are.

The club also noted they were on track to break even ,kept for the ASADA outlays.

Thank you linesmen thank you ballboys.:sarcasm:

The asada payments were made in the 13-14 financial year. The Sharknado game would have accounted for about $200k tops of that $1.5mill loss.

Not at all, I've known there would be no expansion for couple of years, I was responding to others calling for Greenberg to expand the comp. I resigned myself when smith started watering it down two years ago and told NRLWA to stop wasting time and money on a bid. once the tv deal was done with no ninth game included that was it until next window of tv execs dictating to the game what it wants in 2021/22.

I hate broken records, but PR is bringing a smile on bleak day for my family.

Thank you ok mate. Appreciated

Glad to be of assistance, reading your annual report must have been a sobering experience. Don't worry those apartments will make you the wealthiest club soon lol.

Legals costs continued into 2014/15.It was only last year that Flanno had done all that was required by the NRL to get himself up to speed on governance and the NRL requirements.Flanno had to satisfy the NRL for the fine's value to take effect..Sharks players did not accept the doping bans till August 2014.Legals costs were ongoing then.Plus players who are are taking the Sharks to court who did not accept the ban. Then there are legal costs re Mr Bubbler's claim against the club.

$200,000 plus loss of revenue in the grounds such as merchandise, leagues club for Sharknado.Yeah chicken feed LOL.

I repeat once more the Sharks have stated they would have broken even in the time frame mentioned but for these imposts. You call that BS???

FYI the club owns its own ground ,no rental fees and all ad revenue to the club.Profits from development and rent from retail for decades to come. How are the Pirates going with their own ground and rental income .:sarcasm:

Let's see how they this year on the finance front this year ,with a new stadium naming rights holder.A big increase in membership also.

When someone states no expansion, the words are pretty obvious, and not a case of being pedantic.
All you had to state was no expansion in the short term or not in the near future.

The code has made it pretty clear when Grants and Smith came on board ,unless you have not been paying attention in class, that the current 16 NRL clubs need to be financially strong. The next TV deal will help, ensure that.

We all want expansion, but done sensibly and not impatiently or selfishly the way you continually project.

If you had your way,Sydney would have 6 clubs your mob in,and many Sydney fans leaving the code or attending other codes. They say Perth is the most isolated city on Earth, now i understand why.

Waiting for the next domestic violence case to see how Greenberg deals with it. Or will he be at the barber at the time?

Most of the men that secure these positions give great lip service.

That hit by Marty Tpau on the weekend was deliberate and reckless.
I've been following footy for forty years and the independent committee got this charge very wrong.

The charge needs a regrade for the credibility of the game.

YOU cannot deliberately attack the head of a player, damage his brain in a manner that could have life long consequences and receive a one week penalty.

Disgraceful.

Sorry, but what a ridiculous statement.

Shall the CEO just pick and choose when to drop in and out of the charges from each weekend?

Or shall it just be when the media etc have a whinge........like I don't know...........Brett Stewart or Mitchell Pearce??

The CEO has nothing and should have nothing to do with it. If Greenberg had fixed up the process when he was in charge of operations it may not be in this situation right now.

What this ridiculous charge further illustrates is how f**king shit the MRC system is and has been for a long time. It need an overhaul asap and that is on Todd Greenberg as CEO to make happen.

If you look at some of things players have copped a week for and put it next to that shit Taupau then it is flat out insane.

Greenberg was in charge of this stuff for the past 2 years and did nothing. Another shining example of what a f*cking joke it is that he got the gig.

100% agree that the MRC needs a major overhaul. They will never get it completely right, but they have to fix it up from where it is now.

Oh Im not holding out much hope for Todd to fix it but when you have basically all parties in the game agreeing you know its f**ked. Players, coaches, clubs fans and commentators are confused by the charges every week. Wake up and sort it out because the cries of "WTF?!" are becoming deafening
