Question for the folks in here...

Is there any olympic sport that you'd never otherwise watch that you've been watching a lot of?

Mine is Volleyball...

For me, it's always full of action.... always fast-paced... and the thing that sticks out to me is the energy of the players after winning a point.

Been following it closely - was up late watching USA vs Poland last night in the Womens...

I've been really enjoying the volleyball this year as well.

Normally I get right into the water polo when I wouldn't give it a second glance but haven't been able to watch any this time around.

The womens skateboarding was hilariously bad, but i could not turn away. One of the competitors had not yet mastered how to stand on a skateboard.

I thought Bruce Mcaveny died years ago, was a shock to see him there, unless hes a hologram complete with a recording of every sport cliche known to man. .

I've been watching a lot of field hockey that I wouldn't ordinarily watch. Field hockey and track & field were my main sports growing up, but I will usually only watch them when the Olympics are on.

I tried to watch a bit of Judo the other night... terrible viewing. Skateboarding was boring as shit too. I'll flick between streams so that something is always on even if I am not paying much attention to it, but there's a lot of sports that I don't bother with.

I tried watching Taekwondo the other night.... never watched before. I gave it a while... trying to get into it but just couldnt..

It looked like two kids in oversized padding trying to kick each other in the bum... I just couldnt get my head around it.

Yeah I was like that with Judo... Couldn't understand what the f**k was going on, all I knew is that it was terribly anti-climactic because it got to a next point wins scenario and one chick lost because she was penalised for dropping to the ground without her opponents hands on her... or something. Would not recommend.

A curious observation from me...

Watching the athletics, and the Womens' 100m heats. What you see is women finishing their heats, the camera's zoom on the finishers as they mill around etc...

But the cameramen are always trying to film "from the waist up", especially from behind.... And when theres the odd shot of a womens backside in frame, the director changes to a new camera pretty quickly...

Unlike the womens beach volleyball.....

Women's track and field is camel toe mania...

I love it.
