More importantly it shows that we always had plenty of cash left in the 2014 salary cap. Remember it was reported that we made an offer of 750K to Fifita.

It seems to me that the Dragons have been underspending on player salaries and diverting these funds to more important things; like Crownies.
No it doesn't

1) Sims is for 2015, not 2014
2) Fifita was for 2015. not 2014
3) Rumours we are trying to unload Williams. If true, probably to use the funds for TLL.

You're determined to have us believe that we are grossly underspending in 2014, despite the fact that a certain level of cap expenditure is mandated by the governing body. Despite your continued assertions there is no supporting evidence.

Joel Thompson has been nothing short of average since arriving at dragons. Being paid WAY overs for what he offers. I think people like him because he's a good fella and they "hope" he'll be a gun. But he ain't. He's so far behind the likes or proctor etc it's not funny. Dragons would be very smart to send him back to Canberra, bring in TLL and sims next year. Perhaps dragons are still a chance at proctor as well
Mate that's impossible. He's already signed with the Rorters. I know because I read it on a forum (or did I?).
The bloke who posted it is never wrong.

Not true,we should have beaten Canberra in 2011 and went close last year.

Was last year the 22-18 loss in Canberra or was that 2012? When the great M.Rein scored two soft tries out of dummy half before we let Reece Robinson score a 40m try to lose the game. Remains one of the softest tries I've ever seen live. Also add in the 22-18 home loss last year when Milford beat about 43 defenders on the way to scoring yet another incredibly soft try.

2011 we lead 18-6 at half time (I think Soward only kicked 1/4 in the first half) and we threw that game away too when we couldn't catch a regulation short kick-off and Dugan scored (or more accurately, dropped the ball over the line) in the dying seconds.

Every season we make an ordinary side look like world-beaters-difference being we have been just as ordinary the past 3 seasons.

The year that Dugan scored off the grubber on the siren is the one that really stands out for me as disappointing; he fumbled the ball for a start.

Let's hope Morris doesn't score our first try of the match in the left hand corner running towards the north west end of the ground; it means we are in for a repeat of the last few years :p

I was very surprised that Kas was not wanted by a lot of posters on this forum; I think he is fantastic. He has been great at 5/8 for the Bulldogs this year outside half back James Graham  That ball he threw to Mitch Brown last weekend was classy.

Exactly, it shows how much our props suck shit at actually being props! much more skilled and more mongrel than anyone on our team x2.

Look @Kasiano he knows how to play in the halves and prop, we should get him over here to teach Widdop how to BOSS a team. Kas and Benji in the halves.

I love Widdop, he is just playing behind a beaten pack.

Swap Thopson for Learoyd-Lahrs before June 30. This would be one step in the right direction.

Then Sign Kasiano, Sims and Proctor for 2015 and our forward recruitment is complete. All that would really be left to do after this is to identify who the Dragons want to let go to pay around 1.55m a season for Kasiano, Sims and Proctor. At a wild guess it would be:
Hunt 400k - place taken by Kasiano 600k prop
Harrison 350k - place taken by Sims 450k backrow
Ah Mau 250k - place taken by Proctor 500k backrow
Kyle 300k - place taken by Huchenson 100k five-eighth
Green 100k - place taken by Farrell 250k centre
Mathews 200k - place taken by Bird 100k backrow
Groat 150k - place taken by Lo Lo 100k prop
Total let go 1.75m -Total replacement 2.1m (500k is already within our current cap).

lol now thats a funny post some one who thinks he knows what players are on.

Stanley, Green, Mathews, Groat and Harrison all off contract and if a new coach comes in I'd hazard to say most will be moved on.

Kasiano isn't coming why you persist with this is beyond me on Sims and Proctor one maybe but both I highly doubt it they over paid for Benchie Marshall.

Lol, 600k a season for a slug like Kasiano?

If we could sign Kasiano and another good prop we would solve our go forward problems. Kasiano is twice the player of any of our current props.

Of course it goes without saying that to get his signature we would have to change our coaching staff.
