See this is the sh1t that fills the paper at a time we should have headlines about the great attacking abilities of the two Gf teams, all because some numpty wants 5minutes of fame.
Having said that at least the NRL judiciary has the balls to ban a high profile player for a GF. Leeds winger Lee Smith carried out a vicious stomp on Phil Bailey's face in the SL semi and despite being found guilty on a charge that carries a 4 match suspension he was only fined 300quid and no ban meaning he is free to play in the SL GF!
Are they suing for defamation or defacation...what a load of crap.
Melbourne - dragging our great game in the centenary year during GF week, thru the mire....what scum they are
I agree in part with what youre saying, particularly barring people from commenting on matters before the judiciary, but to say the NRL/Gallop is to blame is quite a stretch, he was not to know Bellamy/Wally were going to accuse the judiciary of being corrupt.....once that happened its out of his hands. You'd think though with these so called highly professional people in Belly/Wally, Gallop wouldnt have to even worry about such out of line behaviour.Well then the NRL are guilty of the same. Gallop being a lawyer as well as the CEO of the NRL should know better. This is not what the NRL wants or needs. How pathetic it is to take legal action and air this crap publically when in actual fact this kind of rubbish should have been hit on the head with a meeting between the NRL and Melbourne representatives. No to f**kn simple that would be isn't it. Instead lets blast it all over the papers and go to court. Pathetic from both parties IMHO.
Gallop has got to get his house in order before he expects clubs to do the same. He should gag Stuart for a start because he shouldn't have commented on it before Smith went to the tribunal. It should be a standing order that NO ONE who is a direct or indirect employee of the NRL or it's clubs can make a comment to the media in regards to tribunal matters until after the hearing.
Walldron and Belly should have gone to Gallop personally and aired there issues with him instead of feeding it to a hungry media.
Gallop needs to pull some heads in but not by going to court. He needs to do it in the boardroom. By allowing it to get this far he has shown that he has lost control and it is time for new leadership.
This whole situation proves that Gallop does not have the depth of character to manage this proactively by speaking to Bellamy and co one on one...Gallop gags the Storm yet allows sooks like Stuart to air his dribble in public.
Double standards alive and well...Gallop is a muppet.
Ok,so Gallop should go out of his way and speak to the storm privately, and yet the storm couldnt do that in the first place? :roll:This whole situation proves that Gallop does not have the depth of character to manage this proactively by speaking to Bellamy and co one on one...Gallop gags the Storm yet allows sooks like Stuart to air his dribble in public.

Hello,Brian Waldron!...for the purpose of preserving the brand he manages and controls then a CEO should deal with these types of situations in a proactive manner.
Hello,Brian Waldron!
Gallop is the boss...for the purpose of preserving the brand he manages and controls then a CEO should deal with these types of situations in a proactive manner.
Agreed...Waldron should have contacted Gallop and smoothed it over but Gallop ran to the press very quickly and aired his views in a manner that does nothing for the NRL.
