Top 4....to get there

This weekend we need to see the following

Roosters win over Eagles hopefully by 15 or less.
Storm to win over Tigers hopefully by 15-25
Sharks to win over Titans hopefully by 15-30 (Dreaming???)
Bulldogs to win over Panthers by 50+ (really dreaming now)

Hard to see what we need the next week due to the variables of resuly other than a big win over Eels.
But have 1 game going for us
Titans vs Tigers. So need one of those teams to lose this weekend to get our chances up and hope for a small Roosters win.

Other important games that round (for our top 4 hopes)

Manly v Bulldogs
Cowboys v Roosters

Our chances?

IMO the only realistic chance for us is:

Roosters to beat Manly by a small margin
And Tigers to lose both to Storm and to Titans, by any margin.

That way we'd overtake the Tigers and more than likely keep ahead of the Roosters on points d, even if they beat the Rabbits next weekend.

The Eels will have nothing next week, it'll be a walkover.

Fingers crossed for a home semi to give the fans and players another good experience.

Tigers and Titans both losing this week would be massive as our F/A is already ahead of both and it would mean an Eels win would put us ahead of whoever loses.

Hard to see the Cowboys beating Roosters and Bulldogs beating Manly in week 26 so a 1 point Roosters victory would be nice to keep us ahead of both teams.

Panthers won't lose to both Bulldogs and Sharks in the final two rounds so forget about them.

Best we can hope for is 4th provided one of the Tigers/Titans lose both remaining games, and Manly don't win both of theirs.

6th or even 5th is a more realistic result.

who cares, we made the 8,, lets beat the eels..

Seconded (or Thirded rather)

In saying that, if we could clinch 4th spot, it would be awesome . However it would be a bonus and wouldnt be dissappointed if we missed out on it

tbh if we come to play in the first week of the finals we'll have a decent chance. There certainly aren't any unbeatable teams.

And then we get a home semi second week, right?

For us to have any chance, we need either Gold Coast or Wests to lose both their remaining games. They play each other next week, so at least one (assuming no golden-point draw) will lose one match.

I just want to avoid 7th or 8th.

Looks like the Titans are doing their bit for us :D

I'll be cheering for the Storm tomorrow.

Yep, an away finals win in Week One = home final in Week Two (unless a miracle happens and we get a week off, then we'd get a home final in Week Three)

I'd probably prefer 8th to 7th or maybe even 5th/6th... the Dragons are beatable, and the pressure of not choking as minor premiers will be playing on their minds. Plus if we won, we'd get a home game next round, as happened in '08.

Titans points diff now +19.
Warriors +39

Go the Storm!

Yep, if the Storm beat the Tigers, we only need to beat the Eels by any margin to finish 4th... nice. If the Tiger's win, we need them to also beat the Titans next week. I'd actually say that there's a pretty good chance at least one of those results will go our way.

I'd say an Eels side with nothing to play for except the respect for Natahn Cayless' career is a fair incentive.

Manly would also need to lose a game or they would most likely snare 4th on p/d

Great result for us.

The Storm beating the Tigers tomorrow would be an awesome result for us...though I still doubt the Storm's will to win away from home. If that's the case, we will usurp the loser of the Titans/Tigers match with a win over the Eels (regardless of the margin).

Manly have a +57 points difference and the Roosters +23. We have a +39 differential, but a comparatively tougher match next week. So failing a golden point draw, a Roosters win is probably more to our liking, because we will finish ahead of Manly if we get a result against Parramatta.

Still a lot to flow under the bridge.

Though highly improbable, a Golden-point draw would be somewhat of a double-edged sword heading into R26.

We win and we are guaranteed to beat both...lose and both could beat us with wins (over teams out of the finals race).

Well, Storm didnt come to the party,
Tigers 26 - Storm 14
Roosters won by a little to much
Roosters 30 - Manly 14

We are in a dead heat with Roosters on +39
Do we get to keep 5th since we where there first??
Guess they will take points for? which Roosters have the better of us.

So we need Titans to lose (cant handle a draw either), Tigers have a few injuries coming out of the Storm game tho.
And need Rooster (against Cowboys in townsville) to lose or win by less than what we beat (hopefully) the Eels by.:?
