The Wolfpack have released 3 big name players before the start of the season, Fuifui Moimoi, Ryan Bailey & Dave Taylor, all for personal reasons, Moimoi was a cult player while Taylor was one of the star signings for 2018 and hadn't even laced on a boot, Josh McCrone has been named as Captain.

Big question is who will they replace them with. Could make their season in that if the right people come in the team might be better but also break the team if they are unable to attract who they need to do the job. My thought is that long term, the three guys were at the wrong end of their careers and so maybe this might be a really good opportunity!

I guess its difficult to attract people at the correct end of their careers to play in second tier English league. At the moment they are just focused on getting to the SL as fast as they can to try and make this a profitable endeavour and ensure its survival.

Mmmmm? I like your thinking but surely that would be too much of a drawcard for FOX. After they all but ignored rugby league world cup results on their news scroll feed on the main sports channel 500. But yeah, I like the idea! Just too good to be true!

Can't believe they didn't show World Cup games even at least on delay.. oh well not holding my breath.. maybe in 2019 when New York gets in they might just.

Fox wouldnt even put results up on that scroll line at the bottom of the screen! They put scores up of other codes results from months beforehand whilst the rugby league world cup got no results shown during the tournament. It was very dodgy coverage. Some people say it's because they weren't covering the world cup however other codes that were not covered by Fox were shown on the results screen. Very dodgy! Glad they showed the Toronto Wolfpack tonight. It was great and will enthuse many footballers to join the rugby league pioneering spirit thats happening in North America.

They put scores up of other codes results from months beforehand whilst the rugby league world cup got no results shown during the tournament. It was very dodgy coverage. Some people say it's because they weren't covering the world cup however other codes that were not covered by Fox were shown on the results screen. Very dodgy! Glad they showed the Toronto Wolfpack tonight. It was great and will enthuse many footballers to join the rugby league pioneering spirit thats happening in North America.

I think they feel entitled to RL, so they become petulant when they dont get what they want...

Hearing on the TRL forums if Rimmer is in charge of RFL Toronto won't be getting any favors as far as to say if they win the Championship this season they won't be considered for promotion to SL. Maybe all SL teams will be required to run reserves and academies.. who knows.. wonder what this would mean for other potential NA bids.. time will tell.

Id suggest an expediting of the North American competition will occur if that's the stance from the English? An apetite is clearly evident for this code in this part of the world.

Is this the same Fox that has committed to helping grow the game internationally by using all of their platforms worldwide? It seems they failed their first test.
