Team news courtesy of Spurs' Facebook page;

Gallas, Modric IN
King, Sandro OUT

Sandro and VDV are both on the bench, King got an injury in training on Friday.
Scratch that, Sandro is out.

Decent win 3-nil, it should have been at the very least 6-nil with the chances we had.
Luka is my man of the match, and solely talking about Spurs players Bale gets an obvious nod with a goal and two assists.
The red card for Cahill was a farce, I doubt the eventual result would have been different though.

good to see Modric and Bale back to their best form, Bale seems to pop up all over the pitch atm, so does Lennon

I read the article about Juventus being favourites to sign Leandro.
Typical gutter journalism, it references a paper in which Leandro 's manager says Juve is an option.
We need him god dammit!!!

despite harry saying we wont be shopping around in January I can tell you that Leandro and Cahill are our 2 top targets and there is back up for both spots, looks like Pav and Bassong are leaving in January

Lennon had a poor first game back in the EPL but since then he has been great this season.
Bale has had only a handful of quiet games this year, I believe he has already surpassed his goal/assist statistics from last year in the EPL.

That's great news regarding Leandro and Cahill, if we want to be title contenders we have to spend big.
The problem though is that inevitably a host of clubs can offer more than us, and in particular Leandro is hugely sought after.
With Leandro, would he play off Adebayor or would VDV play off him?

I dont think we'd play Ade, Leandro and VDV all at once, he'd be there for depth till he finds his feet.

They are our top 2 targets, doesn't mean we'll get them, there are a few clubs after Cahill so we wont get into a bidding war

We have plan B and C and so on, which as far as I know involves 2 CBs from Bundesliga

I didn't say that, I said whether it would be one or the other, we can't fit all three at once given Lennon's form.
If we spend big on Leandro he can't just sit on the sidelines, he probably will make a few appearances off the bench at first but it wouldn't be long before he started.

I don't think we will, frankly our only advantage is the partnership with Inter, Leandro will command quite a bit of money in transfers and wages.
Any other strikers we are looking at?
What about Chris Samba?

Samba could be a back up as well but for some reason Harry really likes Cahill, we had a deal done in the last window and their chairman pulled out after agreeing to terms so it seems he's pretty keen to join us

That's good to hear. I trust Harry to make the right decision.

Had to have even more laughs at the English press, two articles popped up that Real Madrid wanted to sign Kyle Walker and that Chelsea would offer Lampard in a switch deal for Modric. The mind boggles.
The Walker story is garbage given Arbeloa and Sergio Ramos' form, adding to that they have ample replacements such as Coentrao.
Why in our right minds would we switch Modric for Lampard even if he is Harry's nephew, letting go a midfielder in his prime for a declining midfielder, even with £40 million pounds or whatever, is laughable. Apparently Anelka, Alex and Drogba would be sweeteners in any potential deal depending on which paper you read.

Always good for a larf'.

Reading comments from Spurs fans on different websites, a lot seem confident we can sign Leandro.
I don't share their optimism.

What about the report Chelsea are offering cash and Lampard for Modric, surely you wont take it?

We won't, Chelsea had better realize we are not going to sell Luka under any conditions unless they offer well in excess of what he is worth.
They are getting very desperate, we have to upgrade Luka's contract quickly so that he isn't swayed again. But if we are still in the top four come January I doubt Luka will move.

firstly I'd be very surprised if there was any truth in that, and secondly they have already been told 3 times that he is not for sale

I think Modric is happy enough where he is atm, which is above Chel$ki on the ladder

Kind of funny to sit here and laugh at Chelsea because they can't get their poor little hands on Modric.

just heard some pretty good news on Leandro from an insider at the club, he is very keen to join his mate Sandro at Spurs

I just hope we can work out a deal on this kid, I reckon he's the real deal

also heard Mata was very close to joining us after we had 3 meetings with him, then Chel$ki just came in at the last minute and offered a huge amount of cash to trump us, no doubt the same cash they had set aside for Modric

nothing to stop the same thing happening with Leandro as I assume our offer will be pretty low but we have been talking to he and his club for over a year now

fingers crossed

Wouldn't put it past a big club to swoop on him, but you can't go past player bonds.
If we are Leandro's preferred club to move to, we had better hope Inter are willing to sacrifice more money for them for Leandro's gain as a player.
Remembering that he'd probably be wasted at a big club that would under- utilise him.

Pav has apparently agreed to terms with Lokomotiv which means we have a striker coming in January.

Tim Krull also strongly linked as Gomes heads back to Brazil in January.

Fantastic news on both counts.
Here is hoping we sign both Krul and Leandro.
Krul has been phenomenal this season and obviously Leandro is the number one hit man on the list.

Arguably the toughest road trip in the EPL coming up in a few hours, debating whether to stay awake to watch it live or have a mini-snooze. Already had two sleeps earlier this afternoon worth about three hours or so and woke up at 10am in the morning too.
Hopefully it's the same team that played last week, although I'm happy for VDV to come in for Defoe obviously.
I'd be happy with a draw, this game will be very tough.
