looks like Pav is going back to Moscow in January, we must have some sort of replacement lined up

Average performance, but still a relatively comfortable victory.
We stuttered in attack for most of the game, as Bale missed the game and Lennon went off injured early on; Walker and Assou-Ekotto did well considering. Modric and VDV on the wings is never a good thing for us.
Pavlyuchenko surprisingly came on for Lennon, I was happy for him to finally get an opprtunity but his rustiness affirmed my opinion that it was a big gamble by Harry considering Pienarr was on the bench.
I was so glad he scored, I gave him a big clap.

Our best were by far Sandro and Gallas in my opinion, the effective tackling and - by both Sandro and Parker - tracking back was sensational. Sandro was my man of the match.
VDV was scintillating with some of his passes, one in particular was astonishing.

We needed the win and got it, back in third and still with the game in hand. And we've also proven, somewhat unfortuneately, just how important width is to our attack.

Your lot are getting absolutely stiffed by the officials here. Chelsea only scored because of Ashley Cole's handball, and have had a perfectly legitimate goal ruled out for offside despite the fact that there were always Chelsea defenders behind your lot.

And this is apparently the number one ref in England. Lordy.

What's with them always using the low camera angle at White Hart Lane now? It sucks compared to the usual high one...

yeh I agree, could have gone either way

missed VDV and/or Defoe cuz Pav is a waste of space, we really are testing our depth atm

great to see Sandro getting more game time, MOM for mine, only upside of Lennon being injured. I really dont get why Parker is a lock ahead of Sandro as Sandro outplayed 2 weeks in a row now

happy to be 3rd still with a game in hand before Christmas as we got a busy month ahead but a pretty easy run

Great news!
VDV should be fit for the Norwich game tomorrow night according to Harry.
On the other hand, Lennon is still missing and will be for "weeks".
If we don't suffer any other injuries and Defoe recovers VDV can take Lennon's position but move in-field and Defoe can come in as the second striker.

its not good having VDV on the right imo, he does too much running and he's too slow hence the injuries

really upsets team balance we need a specialist on the wings to keep our wide game alive, its our style

looks like we are keen on Hoilett who can play on either side

also looks like Charlie is off to Roma

I know that Twiz and I've been very vocal of how much Lennon has made a difference to our team but in his absence unless Pienarr can play regularly and well, Defoe is the one that deserves to come in. It sucks because this is the reason Pienarr was bought, and it would be best I'd we actually had width on both sides.
If Defoe is out hopefully Harry moves Pienarr in for Pavlyuchenko.

Hoilett would be a good signing, as long as he doesn't cost us a fortune.
We need good cover for both our wingers, I think Hoikett is still young and has a lot of potential to improve.
If only we could do a double and sign Samba as well! Him or Cahill plus Hoikett and a decent striker would make me very happy.

Hoilett only has 6 months to go on his current contract and would probably only cost around €5 million

now that we are third from what i am hearing, Levy want to stay there and maybe prepared to spend if the right player is available

Hoilett is good enough now and he'd be cheap, a typical Levy signing and harry likes him, we'll sell Dos Santos for around the same amount which should cover our costs
