yeh, a bid of 15mill submitted

gee alot of people are panicking about where our money is coming from, alot think Bale has been sold, lol

apparently we only just received money for Modric and we have 11 outgoings but 3 of them were Gallas, Bentley and Bostock whose contracts expired and were not renewed

there will also be another couple if things go to plan, I've never known us to spend so much money if it all pans out

big if though

That is me. It makes sense for us to buy now before Bale is gone. If we try to buy after we just received 50-80 mill every team will put their price up big time.

It's why I can't get excited with Paulinho, possibly Villa etc signing.

But to be honest, even if we sell Bale we will have a pretty balanced, good side if we pull off these signings.

I was scared Levy would put all the money straight to the stadium and not spend at all.

he aint going

Real Madrid has decided to put the Gareth Bale signing on hold. After receiving yet another "no" from Tottenham, Florentino Pérez and his team have decided to call it a day, and now see the signing of Bale this summer as impossible.

The wage bill is probably more of a concern. New stadium may help with that.

selling Ade will also help, he is on about 100K a week and some one has made a 6mill offer for him which we want to accept but he dont want to go

I get that impression, but I'm not sure we'll sign enough alternatives for him to be shown the door. Hope I'm wrong.

I like Adebayor, and he was quite good in his first season with us, but surely he has to go. Just no interest whatsoever and it just leaves me shaking my head in both frustration and disappointment. So many goals he could have scored if he had actually attacked the ball.

Anyway, with Defoe hopefully fit and Bale playing even remotely as well as he was, if we can get rid of Adebayor and bring in Leandro we should be fine up front. Generally speaking, we need better creative midfielders though; Dembele is not enough. We really missed out with Moutinho and Leandro last season for sure. Paulinho sounds like a good start though, and a fit Sandro will make a big difference.

Ade just doesn't give a shit which pisses AVB off.

I dont think Leandro is on the radar atm although you never can tell, he could be off to Soton.

I think Ade did try his hardest last year, I think he was just so far out of form that absolutely nothing was working for him. At stages there it looked like he had forgotten how to kick a ball property, wasn't getting any clean strike on it at all.

He did finish the season well, if he has a good preseason I could see us keeping him (if only because no one else will buy him from us)

Paulinho, Sandro, Dembele and Bale make up a beast of a midfield, all fast and over 6 foot.

oh yeah, looks great.

it would be nice if defoe, dempsey and adebayor if he is sticking about could net some goals.

any striker irons in the fire?

of course not, I suppose Paulo was shit in the Confed Cup too

as far as strikers go Villa is the only one on the radar that I know of, there is another but they are being tight lipped and its not Soldado although he maybe a fall back option

we've got offers for Dempsey, Ade and Defoe and may sell the lot of we can get the right money

I just want too see that midfield, because there is no creativity in it.

You might want to stop playing FIFA 13 and watch those players in real life. Because Paulinho was so mediocre in Confeds, and Dembele just didn't happen to be our main build up player at all last season. And as much as he's billed as a "defensive midfielder", you should have seen Sandro at the start of last season. So lacking in creativity indeed.

By the way, you do know we have both Holtby and Sigurrdson?
