Can't remember ever keeping Arsenal scoreless...

edit: we've done it once since 1999, in 2006 (a 0-0 draw).

Hoping that Lamela, Erikson and Chiriches will all be announced tomorrow..

3 nil up in the second half against Dynamo Tblilsi, the aggregate is 8 zip so far.

Haven't conceded a goal in 4 games so far this season and Lewis Holtby is completely controlling the game although the opposition is pretty average. He really is going to give Eriksen some competition for the no 10 spot.

Looks like Holtby has got his shooting boots back - couple of crackers in the last two he's played (in the u21's and then this game)

they have all done medicals a few hours ago just waiting to be announced

we expect Coentrau in by Monday and the only other 2 hot tips are a young winger and a young Spanish striker

all these under 21s we are signing will comply with non overseas players under the age of 21

ie: home grown, Coentrau being the only player over 21

my biggest concern is that we have too many new players and they wont gel this early in the season

Definite possibility. But in saying that our midfield/defence looks pretty solid at the moment, so as long as we don't concede many we'll have a good chance of nicking 1 goal wins.

Attack will take a while to gel. Not expecting too much this weekend.

And to think this time last season I had no expectation and expected us to come around 6th-7th.

It's really all thanks to Bale. I see people on Spurs forums are blasting him because he didn't turn up to training for 2-3 days, but come on, from his ridiculous 2012/2013 season he has made his price increase 10 fold, brought us 100 mill into the bank and set us up for years to come.

They are just being stupid imo or they are unaware

I wish him well as he has set us up for years to come.

He has been told not to train, why would you chance 100 million pounds if he injures himself at training

I lolled at AVB saying he might consider fining him if he doesn't train in the Europa Cup presser, they have done well to keep it under wraps for this long

Bloody hell. What a squad we are going to have. Can't believe this is happening at Spurs of all clubs! And apparently more on the way....jeez.

Carroll gone out on loan to Ajax, brilliant move for a talented kid and he will get UCL exposure.

He was very good in the Europa cup game on Thursday. Apparently this is part of the Eriksen deal.

Have we actually signed all three of Lamela, Chiriches and Eriksen??

they were all registered in time to be included in the squad to play Goons on Sunday although I wouldn't think any of them will start

My old man is a spurs fan, I'm surprised I haven't heard from him yet after all the goings on.

Perhaps this year even he will get a little excited about their chances of going well.. A lot of years of being a spurs fan has left him a little negative I think.

Still, will make it sweeter when we get all six points from you this season..

Ok, I will settle for three each :)

Not too worried about the result this morning, we dominated possession but showed that we still need a little time to gel, Arseholes caught on the counter attack, other then that pretty positive going forward

Agreed, I think Eriksen is the exact thing we are lacking at the moment - link between our mids and striker. Also will be good to give Holtby some time in that #10 position. Soldado is getting caught by himself up front way too much. We also didn't have anyone that can put our attackers through on goal at all.

Our inverted winger formation seems to force us to rely on our LB and RB to do all the attacking. They find themselves in a lot of space but unfortunately they can't ever seem to find the right ball (Walker did once last night but the Soldier's shot was blocked). Maybe it's time to readjust and play Townsend on the left and Lennon on the right as traditional wingers.

Dembele definitely struggles high up the pitch. If there is a silver lining to Capoue's injury it's that Dembele can go back to what he does best, picking up the ball from deep, beating players and creating the extra man.

Not to mention the beast is back.

We looked uncoordinated and need time to gel.

We should have a new LB by tomorrow as its obvious that Danny Rose should not be first choice by the way he let the Goons stroll past him for their goal. He is a winger and inexperienced at LB.

Expect 2 or 3 incomings with some quality players leaving if it all comes off. Players like Siggy and Lennon could be off.

You need to bring in Coentrao and that should rap it up. I'm surprised Levy didn't push for it to be included in the Bale deal so as to make it a sure thing.

Looks like Spurs have done basically exactly what I though they ought to do in this window. Didn't think Madrid would be muppet enough to actually pay 85 mill... good 20 mill overpriced IMO.

Best signing (or most valued/important) will turn out to Eriksen IMO. Really could've done with him against the Gunners, clear lack of creative influence in the middle.

Nah Lamela will end up being the better signing.

If they managed to get 85 for Bale they'll be able to get 40-50 for Lamela in 2-3 years.

Tom Carroll and Benny have been loaned out to QPR which suggests we have 2 incoming but nothing yet.
