I'm worried it won't happen as the lack of candidates. Interesting photo of Capello at the ground doing the rounds

AVB saying he'll take responsibility for failure isn't a good sign, I'm pretty sure he said the same thing the day he got sacked at Chelsea.

It wasn't him who sold the only world class player you had.

Levy made the decision not to go for the top 4 but to make as much money as possible out of Bale.

He should follow AVB out of the door as Spurs will never hit the heights you want them to whilst he is there.

He didn't really have a choice, he did well to get the most out of him possible.

To be honest Spurs will never hit the heights until we get this stadium built. And Levy is the right man to get that done, whilst still remaining competitive.

I like AVB but have been baffled by some of his decisions this year. The sad thing is I can actually see us winning some cups with him as coach but EPL form is just too important.

I won't be dissapointed if we keep him, but as far as replacements go it's a shame Martinez has only just moved to Everton. He'd be ideal, Laudrap from Swansea would also be decent.

Levy should not be blamed for getting 100 million for Bale. That was great business.

The problem is having access to 100 million pounds cash is potentially a once in a generation position for a club without Champions League. Spending every cent of that money in the best way possible was the most important part of his job and Levy f**ked it up. My view is clubs unable to offer UCL should never spend over 20 million on any player because the only players actually worth that much will be taken by clubs that are in the UCL.

Levy should have spent the 100 million over a couple of years on 6-8 of the best teenagers in England and around the world. If the scouts did their job right you'd have a generation of world class talent coming through at once to get you into the UCL. Then you'd have access to genuine world class players in their prime.

If you sack AVB, Levy should follow him out.

The early names being linked with replacing the Portuguese include current Russia boss and former England manager Fabio Capello, ex-Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo, Swansea boss Michael Laudrup and Tottenham's current technical director Franco Baldini.

Odds according to SkyBet

Tim Sherwood - 3.00
Fabio Capello - 4.00
Michael Laudrup - 4.50
Glenn Hoddle - 9.00
Luciano Spalletti - 11.00
Gianfranco Zola - 13.00
Frank de Boer - 15.00
Mauricio Pochettino - 17.00
Guus Hiddink - 17.00

Fabio Capello and Guus Hiddink are the stand-outs and Hiddink doesn't look like a top favourite atm so Capello looks like your best bet.

Tim Sherwood has the job for now and Guus has already said no. Capello is too old and wont be offered the job.

Alot of stories coming out now that he's gone. We were just looking for an excuse, we have been looking for a replacement for over a month but couldn't get who we wanted.

His smug arrogance has got alot of people off sidie, he had a blue with Levy some time back, he doesn't talk to anyone else at the club, he takes no notice of the academy players and he refuses to change his game plans so most of us knew he was out the door.

Its Tim Sherwood's job to lose, if he fails we will look for a replacement towards the end of the season because all the managers we want are not available at this stage unless Baldini can twist a few arms.

Coming out of the Levy-Baldini PR machine?

They forced players onto him, overspent on average players, sold the best player he had yet left him with Dawson and Adebayor.
They did this and expected him to what? Win the league?

He has the best win ration since WW2 and is only 8 points of the top spot.
So not to bad despite the two gutless wonders who cripple Spurs every year to make a bit of money.
If Tim Sherwood learns how to say yes sir no sir and not complain when he has his best players sold, then he will be perfect for the Spurs job.

Someone has forgotten who Chelsea just lost against it seems..

In saying that...

Wish we played you every week!! :)

Preferably in the league though, some league points would be handy..
