the media reported the 18 mill, not Harry
I'll think you'll find he is not a wheeler and dealer
Now Real Madrid have denied Bayern even made a bid so bild.de were wrong aswell.I think he was going to Bayern Munich yesterday for £18m and suddenly he became much cheaper, said Redknapp before the deal was confirmed on Wednesday.
2 sides to the argument and none sourced.......................hmmmmmmm yet you automatically assume Bayern are right, no surprise there

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...l?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=MFArsenalReal Madrid have rubbished Harry Redknapp's claim that Rafael Van Der Vaart was set for an £18million move to Bayern Munich before Tottenham snapped him up.
The Spurs manager said that he swooped for the Dutchman after he was offered him for a cut-price £8million deal when Van der Vaart's move to the German champions fell through.
But now Real's sports director Miguel Pardeza has categorically denied that claim, saying: "It is absolutely false that Real Madrid received a 21 million euro offer from Bayern Munich for Van der Vaart.
"In fact, the German team never showed an interest to sign the player, so the allegations made in England have greatly surprised us."
http://www.usposttoday.com/real-mad...rt-plays-down-bayern-munich-transfer-rumours/I dont know anything about a potential move to Bayern Munich. I was told on Sunday that I wouldnt play against Mallorca, but that had nothing to do with a transfer. I havent been in touch with Louis van Gaal about a move to Germany, was Van der Vaart quoted as saying by De Telegraaf.
"In the end, only Atletico Madrid pushed but neither I nor the club wanted me to go there," Van der Vaart said. "The offer from Bayern never ended up being concrete."
Old news but Van Der Vaart has cleared up the speculation regarding his suitors.
