pretty high quality game against the gooners, first year for a long time we've had them covered, a win and a draw

shame we became the walking wounded at the end, we couldn't make anymore subs, not sure what Bale's injury is exactly just yet

but I gotta say I think Wenger is the biggest asshole in the premier league, thats about 3 times in the last month he has refused to shake hands after the game, he sets a pretty poor example for those who are obviously very big fans of him and his team

Agreed. It's time for him to go in my opinion. dunno what he was complaining about either.

What a game

Nice work guys. A win would have suited both our teams better, but a draw will do

Whatever keeps us above Arsenal, and LOLiverpool out of Europe...

cuts cities lead to 2?

if we beat WBA and get a point at Chelsea we are right in this to get 4th again.

Gotta love Van Der Vaart. f**k he's been a good signing.

injuries are a worry.

and wenger

what a useless merkin. sore loser. will he be at arsenal next year?

I loved after the liverpool arsenal game wenger walking towards Kenny with his arms out questioning the penalty an Kenny audibly goes that was a penalty, which wenger must not have agreed with than fairly loud Kenny tells him to piss off.
Made me giggle.

what I dont get is why he was directing it at Daglish, he had nothing to do with the decision

Another one of those Tom Huddlestone rippers, like the commentators said last year, he doesn't score many but when he does they are spectacular.

I think after this game, everyone's going to be chanting;

"Van der Vaart, Van der vaart van der van der vaart, nanananana van der vaart, van der van der vaart, nananana"!!!!!

Hasn't scored in a while and nets a double against Arsenal. Anyone notice he seems to have produced his best against Arsenal this season; in the first game, a penalty and two assists, and in this game two goals?

Great game apparently which I hope to see soon!

Great game, especially if you're a neutral. I certainly wasn't in any danger of falling back asleep.

A draw was a fair result, both teams did enough to deserve the win. His age creates an impenetrable forcefield around him, but I think Chezzy could have done better with Huddlestone's goal, and the penalty could have been avoided. But, he's young and determined. I doubt he'll let either happen again.

Until next time lads..

P.S Boxhead, the Van der Vaart chant is a piss-take copy of the "Nasri, nananana" chant.

the pass the Lennon was perfect and his pace got him to the ball before your keeper, those are the little things that we couldn't do not so long ago

I realize that, but the Nasri chant was ripped off an old "Tottenham" chant, which was ripped off a famous hymn ;-)

Was a damn fine game, good luck to Arsenal and I always say; if Spurs don't win a competition (which is all the time), then I want Arsenal to win it!

Do'eth, beat me to it..Post-posting I realised I should have noted that whichever Gooner coined it, most likely nabbed it from someone else.

I know, but it helps our cause, so I extend my thanks. Besides which, I hate Arse anyway, and always like to see them fail. Preferably a loss, but at this point of the season, a draw is about as welcome as a loss for the teams chasing the title.

I don't hate the Gooners or their fans, their manager however is a different story

http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/861562-luka-modric-happy-to-stay-at-tottenham

Despite rumours that the young Croatian playmaker is being sought by Inter Milan and Juventus, his representative Nikki Vuksan has reassured fans his future is at White Hart Lane.

'They are just rumours,' Vuksan told calciomercato.it.
'I have read comments from different people on this subject, but the reality is that Luka has a long and important contract with Tottenham.
'Last summer he extended it until 2016 and he's very happy in London. If a bid should arrive it would be up to the club to evaluate it.'

Modric has proved an important part of the Spurs squad this season, having given impressive performances in both Premier League and Champions League fixtures, scoring ten goals in just 20 appearances.
As well as interest from European teams, Spurs' Premier League rival Manchester United are also thought to be interested in Modric.
Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly been warned off by Harry Redknapp but rumours suggest he may put in a £25 million bid when the transfer window opens.
Speaking to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti recently, Redknapp said: 'I wouldn't want to sell him for £100 million, not even for a billion. He's the hub of the team.'

Sounds like Modric won't leave unless the club wants to sell him, and Redknapp has openly said 'I wouldn't want to sell him for 100 million'. Sorry ManUnited fans, looks like he's a keeper here :D

Sandro seems to be our biggest worry, especially after Ibra described him as a brick wall in the press after the second Milan game.

He's only played about 10 games and half of them have been champions league games, he's been amazing for a kid who is still learning his trade.

We have apparently had serious queries from Inter, Barca and Real Madrid over the last month or so and we only paid 6mill for him.
