The French league would probably be a higher standard overall but the better teams in League 1 would be competitive in the French league.I have a question for those who might be more in the know.
Looking at the League 1 results so far, is it fair to say that the French Elite 1 is quite a bit higher standard than League 1?
TO have beaten 3rd placed York City 44-6.Rochdale and York are still only one win behind providing neither of them slip up tomorrow. TO need to beat York in two weeks in order to give themselves some breathing room going into the Super 8's.
Great result which sees them confirmed as league leaders going into the Super 8's and gives them on paper the easiest possible fixture list for the second phase.TO have beaten 3rd placed York City 44-6.
The prize for finishing top is playing the final at home, yes.If they finish top do they get to play the final at home?
It would suck if they finish top and then play Rochdale at Leigh or something.
Teams across all divisions can spend the Super League salary cap from next year so you would think they would be able to strengthen quite a bit. Hopefully the core of the squad stays together though, I think the average age is about 23.Be interesting to see if there will be many changes to their squad next season if they go up a division.
If they go undefeated all year but then lose to Rochdale, can they still be promoted?
