Good to see they are kicking off their new era against the flagship team of French RL, be interesting to see how they go against a SL side and what type of crowd turns up even though it's a trial match.

I see around 5 thousand for this trial, i will also give my thoughts on catalans and toulouse's squad, and where they may finish i would have to say this match is a tremendous promotion for the game in france, and for that matter paris.
Catalans I see there season hinging on whether kevie walters can make the tough call and cut shane perry when the obvious is found out and he does not perform. To me i can see walters point move raguin back to the pack, mogg where he belongs the centres but why not move macguire to 6 his proper position and finally blood the highly rated kane bentley.
Also Duport must finally cement a spot on the flank murphy time is gone and stacul is simply not up to it.
Finish: 4th.
Full strength 17.
1. greenshields 2. duport 3. bell 4. mogg 5. pelo
6. macguire 7.bosc
13. mounis
12. croker 11. raguin
10. gussiet 9. bentley 8. ryles
bench: 14. fakir 15. ferriol 16. gossard 17. carlaw.

Toulouse There is a hell of a lot young talent which has excelled at junior level, this highlighted by 4 junior members given a shot in the co op 25.
They seemed relutant to chase the usual guys bar gresque who for some reason prefers playing of front of 200 to 2000, while to likes of moly, saudoni, charles, wynne, guige, khattabi while it seems sabri is destined for a leeds spot. For what i hear however a small group elite players plus the likes of andrew bentley, touxugas, pages and even elima depending on injuries may end up at toulouse post french elite 08/09.
I see there crowds around 2500 to 3000.
Finish: 4 to 5th.
Possible 17.
1. Villegas 2. houles 3. courturier (rugby) 4. planas 5. payans(utc/catalans)
6. bramley 7 . degal(st gaudens)
13. viala
12. maria(st gaudens) 11 . esleme(leeds)
10 worth(penrith) 9 . gay 8. griffi(catalans)
bench: marshall(cook island int), pramil, circko, nathan wynn.

I think you might be pleasently surprised with Shane Perry. He is better than he is given credit for and i think that the ESL might suit his game. Dont be surprised if he is one of their better players.

Theres been a few eyebrows raised about the Perry signing and my first thoughts were akin to Winny's, I reckon though that Walters will want his own touch on the team in some way.

I am reserving judgment on Mr Perry for now anyway.

Toulouse had a Nathan Wynn and a Tim Wynn in their squad, so whatever the score they were in a wynn wynn situation...
