I don't mind that trade

Cheap back up QB with NFL experience.

I get Harbaugh can turn him into a competent QB then trade him :)

I doubt you'll get much back from him in a trade. No one is going to give up much for McCoy. Unless Kaep goes down and McCoy comes in and plays lights out.

It's a good trade because he's a good and capable back up QB. I dont think this is Harbough making a deal to take a QB and turn him into picks down the line. I think this is a deal where Harbough has a decent talent he can turn and get by for a week or so if Kaep gets hurt

Really happy with that signing

Cost us peanuts, can cut him for nothing, sounds highly motivated with plenty to prove

Same for Vikings :(

I guess that's the type of player you can attract when you're a team on the cusp of greatness.

He was pretty awful for us tbh
He's still a decent corner, but he's so far removed from the lock down corner he used to be, its not even funny.

I think there is a good chance this works out well for him. Nnamdi regressed, significantly in fact, but at least some, if not a decent chunk of his issues were down to scheme and coaching. The eagles didnt use him in a way that would best suit his skillset. If Harbough does use him the best way, he should see a productive corner.

The fact there is no guaranteed money makes it a slam dunk, there is literally nothing to lose for the Niners, either he plays well and they pay next to nothing for a pretty good #2 corner. Or he continues to regress and they cut him and pay nothing.

Its a good move for the Niners but he's not the type of player that takes SF over the top.

.

man those raiders really know how to wheel and deal.

who can forget all those picks and money they gave for randy moss, then watched him dog it for 2 or 3 years, then traded him away for a 4th rounder to the pats and then watched him return to superhuman wr territory.

now they gave away a 1st and 2nd rounder and mega bucks for palmer, then watched him play average for 1.5 seasons, then traded him away for a 7th rounder to the cards.

no wonder these guys are always at the bottom of the barrel.

Falcons signed Brian Banks yesterday. Hope he makes the roster, would make for a good story. And unlike last year he has a reasonable chance of making the roster because he's in shape and will have a full offseason with the team, and we don't have a lot of LB's on the current roster worth a shit

Patriots being the Patriots and signing RFA Emmanual Sanders to an offer sheet, Steelers have 5 days to match the offer, if the reported amount of $2.5m is correct I would lean towards them matching it, if its over $3m then I have my doubts. Steelers get a third rounder if Sanders leaves.

Steelers matched the NE offer, Sanders remains a Steeler and gets an extra $1.2m, nice job. Steelers could have avoided all this and saved themselves 500k by giving him a second round tender at ~$2m. The gamble didn't pay off, I say it would have if Belichick wasn't in the league.

James Harrison and the Bengals to hopefully get a contract sorted by the end of Monday US time. Be good for our linebackers to have someone of his pedigree around. Just to show rey maualuga and Burfit the sort of work required to be successful in that position. LB is probably the weakest area of our team at the moment, but someone like Harrison could possibly back it one of our strong suits.

Hopefully it also means we can concentrate on offence a little more in the draft.

Bengals will have to play some 3-4 to get the most out of him. Interested to see the amount they pay him, I have a feeling he cost himself a lot of money turning down Pittsburgh's pay cut.
