I read a good article today stating that the only ones who can beat Bayern Munich are themselves.

Pep will have a real tough job keeping the likes of Kroos, Shaqiri and Gustavo happy when they're getting splinters in their arse with a world cup around the corner.

He's capable. But already Bayern's players have commented on how odd the new formation is... so it'll be fascinating to watch whatever happens.

Haha very true. Man for man I personally think BVBs starting XI is almost on par with Bayern's.

Better keeper, equal at CB, the two worlds best right backs. Gundogan is awesome. And any four of Reus, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Blaszczykowski and the spoilt brat up front is a match for anyone.

But .. Bayern's depth, by virtue of having endless pockets and a new Galacticos approach, makes them far more formidable over the course of a season.

Have you ever considered that Pep doesn't want those players? :?

I'm sure as a die hard Dortmund fan of a few weeks you'll be analysing FCB all season

Lol I've NEVER claimed to be a diehard Dortmund fan.

I've been an admirer of BVB ever since their UCL triumph in 96-97. Andreas Moller is one of my favourite players of all-time. They also have the best kit in world football. :D

But it would be an insult to call myself a "fan". I know what a true fan is ... i'm a true diehard Sheffield Wednesday fan. But at the same time I don't think it's a crime to casually follow certain other European clubs at the same time.

For your sake let's hope he doesn't turn Bayern into a poor man's Barcelona.

If they adopt tiki taka they'll get beaten by Barca in the UCL who do it far better than anyone else ever will. The likes of Gotze, Ribery, Muller, Schweiny are all IMO about press, pace, power and precision on the counter; not a passing carousel.

But like I said, it'll make for great viewing. The new season can't come soon enough.

In actual Transfers, Man Utd making a move for Bale at 60mill

If you are Daniel Levy, do you sell Bale for 60 million to Man Utd or for 80 million to Real Madrid?

From what I hear, it isn't even a real bid. If it is, Man Utd are f**king stupid.
Levy will not sell to anyone in the league unless they over-pay what someone outside the league would pay.

If Madrid offered close to 80 million and got knocked back, Man Utd will have to offer something close to 100 million to even hope to have a chance, as ridiculous as it sounds.

According to "sources" United have offered 60 mil for Bale, 30 mil for Cesc, been offered Luiz or Mata and 10 mil for Rooney, put a bid in for Modric, Khedira, Ozil, Benzema or Ronaldo.

In the last two days.

It is almost like the media are picking names out of a hat.

Our Cheif Exec is coming back from Aus to sign someone... dum dum duuum.

Higuain is now going to Chelsea after Jose f*cked up saying he only wants Rooney. Not sure why Arsenal have not signed him yet. They probably are waiting to see what happens with Suarez and Rooney first. That or they have sold enough season tickets now so don't need to...

Cesc would be a great pick up... but i cant see it happening...

Bale would be good also... but we've missed that boat...

the most likely big signing i could see this summer would be Ronaldo back.... with a big contribution from a sponsor... but even thats a longshot.

Yeah I saw the story and thought it was a laugh.
Some local Tottenham paper had a headline of "Lloris not sure if Paulinho will be around with Bale", alluding to Bale leaving and yet the quotes from Lloris had absolutely nothing to do with any kind of transfer news.
