Its called Re Building. We could easily delayed the Emirates being built and stayed at Highbury, would have won the PL once or twice more over the last decade. But wouldn't of had a World Class Stadium.

Difference is, i will follow Arsenal till the day i drop, even if we ended up in the BSP. Same couldnt be said about half of you.

Winning isnt everything, most Gunners fans can see the plan thats in place for the 2014/15 Season, which is why the lack of Transfer's.

If they miss CL, then it could backfire badly, but if we make 4th then next years Transfer Window wil be the restart of the Arsenal Dynasty.

The bar was raised (11 draws was no longer acceptable to win the league) and the Voyeur failed to step up, stuck to his guns and hasn't finished in the top 2 since. The emirates isn't the reason you weren't able to win the league.

The end of your rant was said at the start of last season in regards to 2013/14. You qualified and have picked up nobody while your biggest rival for 4th spot have strengthened.

Building the Emirates meant the transfer budget became non existent. Its obvious Wenger feels better class players will move after the world cup.

If the plan fails so be it, its better than spending 50mill on a player thats not worth it and Suspended for 15% of the next campaign.

Real should get Suarez, forget about Bale. Cost less and you get exactly what the team needs. The Bale saga reeks of Neymar one upmanship.

Isn't that why they bought Isco? Scoring goals has not been their problem the last 5 seasons.

Isco playing at attacking mid/inside winger from what Ive seen. Not so much scoring goals, but Higuain is gone and they have one recognized world class striker in Benzema.

Ancelotti could play Ronaldo up front, but he probably wont. Benzema gets injured and youre down to Alvaro Morata/Jese. A lot of it depends on Di Maria staying though. If they sell him then Bale makes sense, but with so many players who can play that three behind the striker, Suarez always made sense for mine. If Bale comes Di Maria probably gets sold anyway though.

Im probably wrong but paying Bale a world transfer record seems to have some relation to losing out on Neymar to Barca. This is Florentino Perez after all. Hes looking to make a statement.

Suarez to Real makes a lot of sense, and if Bale wasnt around he'd already be there. Suarez ability to drift all over creates a lot of options even for devastating players like CR. Hes a playmaker in a way Higuain or Benzema never could be. Higuain is a pure finisher, Benzema a mixture leaning towards a pure finisher.

Im talking shit but I dont like the idea of two superstars who hold the ball like CR and Bale playing on opposite wings. The closest thing in world football is Robben and Ribery at your club, but even they are far less selfish players than CR/Bale.... And they both track back to apply pressure. Real already accomodate CR not tracking, and Bale is hardly known for his defensive input. You put a lot of stress on holding midfielders and full backs with ose two in the team.

They will be devastating on the counter obviously even though they already are, but its hard to see them winning the CL so exposed down the flanks.

Bale has everything to do with Neymar there's no doubt about it. It's funny because both teams need to sort their defence out first. For Madrid they need to get these name players to satisfy fans, they were chanting his name at training before all this Bale transfer BS started. They don't need him but he's marketable.

I don't get to watch a lot of Malaga I thought he played up front, my mistake on Isco. They definitely need a striker but I'm not sure Suarez who will cost them €55m+ is needed? It is Madrid after all do that's a stupid comment of me to make. I suppose there aren't many options. Ibrahimovic? Lewandowski said no. Missed out on Cavani, didn't want Gomez.

Madrid are a Hummels and Gundogan away from shitting the champions league in. €55m would probably get both.

Fair call on Hummels. At full back they're set with Coentrao, Marcelo, Carvajal and Arbeloa. Pepe, Varane and Ramos at centre back will do, but youre right they could one more. Hummels obviously good long term, but I reckon they should have made a play for Vidic for the next 2-3 years.

Dunno about Gundogan. Stacked there with Alonso, modric, casemiro, khedira and now Illararamendi who I know nothing about but cost what 20-30 mil so is probably quality. Sell modric or alonso and Gundogans a good shout. Then again maybe Man U should bid for Ilkay

I've not seen illararamendi (with a name like that he should be at Dortmund) but if he's the guy from
Sociedad he's supposed to be a gun. Gundogan is at his best as a deep lying playmaker. Has the potential to be Xavi-esque. Their central midfield was not performing well from what I saw but maybe Ancelotti will address that.

I'm personally not a fan of Pepe. He's very unstable and loses control. Varane is the future for them and a Hummels - Varane combination would have a great mix of ball playing and physical strength. Varane is young enough to miss a few games for Ramos.

Gundogan could be the Scholes replacement Man U are looking for.

Yeah Sociedad defensive mid. Long term replacement for Alonso they say, which I can only presume means hes a deep lying playmaker in the same mould. Casemiro is known as an enforcer so they have balance there, like the Alonso/Khedira partnership. Though Reals rumoured interest in Paulinho before Spurs signed him suggest they have reservations.

No argument there with United. Give me Gundogan over Fellaini anyday. They need creativity from one of their midfielders. Maybe even Arsenal, though they have Arteta. Wilshere/Gundogan would be great to watch.

Tone trying to give all of Dortmunds players away, i see what you did there :) .

But if Madrid did get those two they would dominate. Hummels and Varane would be fun too watch.

Too be fair Bayern are a world class CB away from being completely unbeatable. So Madrid wouldnt walk CL.

In stupid Rumor of the day, Arsenal in for Eto, i swear uk papers must read this Forum.
