Transfer Rumour Mill

After you go through all undisclosed fees its around 71mill, as barca only paid 27mill of the Ibra fee.

That's not right.

The total was 71 million

That figure includes a 20 million valuation of Samuel Eto'o AND 51 million which they paid to Inter, of which they recouped 24 million through selling Ibra to Milan.

Remember that the 20 million valuation for Eto'o is included both as part of the 71 and as a separate fee paid by Inter to Barca for Eto'o, so if you remove that valuation it changes nothing in regards to the total.

When Mourinho can operate on the same transfer budget that Wenger has, then come talk to me. The bloke cant develop talent, and when anyone questions his stupidity they get dropped.

Seriously who drops one of the best goal keepers in the world so his ego can thrive. Its stupid decisions like that is what cost him against Dortmund and Ath Madrid.

Now he will come back to Chelsea thinking he can attempt to buy the title again, good luck to him but this time he will fail.

Latest big rumour: Ronaldo > Monaco. £85m transfer. £20m a year, tax free

Answer me this, is Sir Alex Ferguson a great coach or not?

Here's a tip; he spent millions as well and wasn't afraid to drop a load to get who he wanted.

Your argument is as inane as your constant whinging about Bayern Munich winning the UCL. "But but we beat them at home when they didn't give a sh!t"

Fergie, who is also the greatest manager of all time, neevr dropped players because of his ego, Jose did that this year, and it lost him a cup and a chance at a CL.

Your Point of Fergie spending millions is mute, because hes developed a truck load of young players over his years, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Gaz n Phil, Butt,Welbeck, Cleverley ,Gibson,Brown,Evans. and many more then add in young players he turned into World class talent Keane,Rooney,Ronaldo.

Mourinho doesnt even deserve to be in the same conversation let alone same room as the great man.

Hopefully he doesnt ruin Nate Ake.

Fergie routinely sold players he had arguments with ffs

Rooney and Ronaldo's talent was obvious when he signed them too, he paid about 12m for Ronaldo at 18 (a lot less than Wenger paid for Reyes ) and more than twice as much for Rooney.

Ronaldo and Quaresma were exactly the same, one went to a WC coach and the other is plying his trade in UAE.

Yes sold them, didnt bench them to the detriment of his team.

Rooney's game has gone to great levels, and has developed all round skills, albeit at a very large sum because he was english.

Reyes was fine to he became homesick, then it was all down hill, on transfer fees, RVP for 2.7, hows he going these days, oh thats right " Best Striker in the world"

Too bad he plays for your one of your bitter rivals

Wenger sold RVP and brought in Giroud, how's he going these days?

And Mourinho didn't develop any great players at any of the clubs he managed? Uh-huh.

You clearly missed the point, but I will spell it out to you again. You say Mourinho is a bad/over-rated manager because of how much money he spends, but you fail to realize that every successful manager in recent history does the same.

So please, educate everyone here as to just how that separates him from Wenger. Oh, right, I know.

Uefa Champions League Wins
Jose Mourinho - 2
Arsene Wenger - 0

I'm sure the gravity of winning the Champions League at two different clubs, and the league title in four different countries - let alone clubs - is lost on you, so I won't bother mentioning it.

Won league title Porto, thats hard
Won league title at chelsea spending 300+ million dollars, thats hard
Won league title at Inter... Again spending a bucket load, whilst also against a Ac milan team with an avg age of 29.8 and on a extreme decline? Again that was hard.
Won league in Spain, spent 115 + mill in 2 seasons buying Ozil,Carvalho,Di Maria,Khedira,Canales,Sahin,Varane,Coentrao,Modric...... Well that must of been hard.

So in the enf his Porto CL is the best thing he has done, other than that hes bought his way everywhere he goes.

And no he rarely, if at all developed a young player.

Bloody hell. It seems every time I'm in here AusKnight's going on about the Goners/Wenger being better than they actually are.

Is self-delusion a trait among Goners fans? He and BM seem to share it...
