I don't see Bale being a near 20 assist player each year either.

Who cares who they're linked with? They're already at Madrid.

Love how touchy Spurs fans are over Gareth Bale

so if some one responds to your trolling posts they are touchy ?

just stated a few facts, thats all, and I'm only one Spurs fan

players are worth what someone will pay for them and with all the crap being published in the media, its hard to know what some one is worth

It's not trolling though. Real Madrid need a lot of things but goal scoring is not one of them.

I'm not sure they need anyone, they just buy players for the sake of it.

I'd be worried if Monarco and PSG bought Ronny boy as he and Bale play the same position but while he is still there I can be a smug arsehole, lol.

They certainly need a superior defence to what they have.

It seems to me like Spurs will lose Bale eventually and if I were Levy I would only sell him to Real Madrid, you would be mad to send him to Man U, Chelsea or City and have him bite your arse every season. Same thing he did with Modric.

He wont be sold to a Premier League team, he only wants to play with Spurs in the EPL and if he goes to Spain he will lose his EPL sponsorship 3rd party deal.

Also his agent is on 20% of his upgraded deal instead of the normal 5%, so he would need to be on 600K a week to get the equivalent of 20% of 150K a week so he is motivated to not shop him around, brilliant move by Mr Levy.

He may eventually go but if we can crack a permanent top 4 spot and keep upgrading him, he may never go. Then again if we get 80-100mill for him we can buy a new team.

Either way its all good.

Are people seriously putting stock in a story that originated from a Madrid paper? Not pointing fingers but if you actually believe that tripe, you are in for a shock.

Sounds like with Higuain going to Napoli, Suarez will be off to Madrid. As much as I want to rub it into BM, I feel for Arsenal. It also will likely throw a spanner into the works of the Soldado deal for Spurs, if Arsenal are in a gaming mood.

Man Utd decided to make public the letter they received from barca telling that cesc is not for sale.

To whomever serves as Sir Alex Ferguson's chief minion at Manchester United,

At the request of Xavi, apostle of proper pitch saturation, I am writing to you with a very clear and very stern message. Cesc Fabregas is most definitely not for sale. This is a non-negotiable statement of fact and not in any way a winking encouragement to bid higher. We are keenly aware that you have made your desire to sign Cesc very public in recent weeks, but we respectfully ask that you stop it right now, you smelly English idiots (Xavi's exact words).

Xavi knows you have similarly declared that Wayne Rooney isn't for sale, only for Chelsea to brazenly continue their pursuit. But he warns that disobeying another, far more important club's own statement of keeps is no way for your new manager to try and prove that he can run with football's majestic ponies. It will only make him look weak and dim-witted like Harry Redknapp in a tax evasion trial. If you must persist with a sad and futile high-profile transfer pursuit this summer, just keep going after Cristiano Ronaldo.

Xavi would also like to remind you that we are not Arsenal. You cannot just take our players when you choose and then laugh when you win titles with them. We've done this ourselves many times, so we know that game quite well. In addition, it is well known that Cesc has Barca DNA. Xavi says that as someone smart enough to be a doctor, he assures you that selling Cesc Fabregas is a biological impossibility. All modern science supports this, so don't question it.

So, again, to satisfy Xavi's numerous and admittedly rather grating requests, I am sending you this letter. To be perfectly honest, I, Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, don't really care if Cesc stays or goes. Leo Messi and Neymar will score so many goals this season that we could probably just play the two of them and cantaloupe wearing goalkeeper's gloves and win every match 17-3. But Xavi took a solemn vow while sitting poolside in Ibiza that he would forever ensure that Francesc Fabregas does not suffer. And he is certain that joining Manchester United would be a one-way ticket to Suffer Town. He says he only had to look into the endlessly contorted face of Phil Jones to know for sure.

This would devastate Xavi and could prove mildly inconvenient to Cesc himself. It would also make Gerard Pique very sad and he would probably start bleeding for no reason. No one wants that. It is for these reasons that Xavi says we must not sell Cesc Fabregas.

Thank you in advance for adhering to these instructions. We look forward to your offer of €50 million.

I had a good chuckle reading this at my desk this morning...

Madrid aren't willing to offer even close to 40m. They value him at less than 30.

Rumour is he has or is very close to making a formal transfer request to go to Arsenal.

We are the only club that has gone in with a serious offer.

Suarez has been allowed to talk to Arsenal. Our offer is at 40m, Liverpool want 50, there will be some give and take but he will be playing for Arsenal in our CL qualifier.

Suarez will go to Arsenal, and Madrid won't care because they're getting Bale

What the hell are you smoking? Bale isn't leaving. Or do you actually believe the crap that Marca started?

The kiss of death.....

How much did Madrid just make off of Higuain again? And how much would Suarez cost them? Also remember that Liverpool would naturally want to sell to a foreign team, not a local team. Arsenal are going to have to improve their offer by more than ten million pounds for Liverpool to budge, that is if Liverpool have any brains and know to extort one of their potential UCL rivals as much as possible. You may want to hold your horses on this one, lest it turn into another Higuain.

:lol::lol:

I hope for Arsenal's sake that you stop making predictions!

Madrid had the ability to spend 40 or 50 million even before they sold Higuain. That isn't the issue. The issue is they don't think he is worth that much.

We're the only club that is even in the vicinity of what Liverpool want. The 10 million separating us can be negotiated. We might add a couple million, they might lower their demands by a couple million and the remaining gap can be settled with add ons. X amount of games/goals/trophies = Y millions.
