Luai was less than ordinary as was Samoa
An average of 14 running meters in his 3 games.
Depth in halves a concern

He hasn't even played FG yet, cant expect much from him playing for a very disappointing Samoa side.

I try to be nice, but you can't help but be abusive. I realise it's my fault, so I apologise Betcats, I forgot you struggle to process information. I'll type slower for you.

Luke Walsh had played 120 games for the Panthers and the Knights, Travis Burns 127 games for Manly, the Cowboys and the Panthers. The generally accepted benchmark for an NRL player to be called a fully blown first grader, is 50 games. I'm not sure what Matt Moylan has to do with whether Cleary coached rookie halves or not, but I'm sure it makes sense to you.

I'm no fan of Burns and Travis but they have managed to play first grade after they left us, albeit in Super League so they are obviously better than "shit" as you called them. They also managed to get us to 2nd in 2012. Still, I'm sure the coach would have preferred to have two rookies instead of them that year, because, as you say, they are shit.

Oh yes that was very abusive from me lol. You just talk shit mate, making it out like Hooks has had two rookie halves for 2 years. IF experience is soooo much more important than ability why did Hook get rid of two very experienced halves in Soward and Wallace? He literally had experienced halves and got rid of them for Cleary and Bryce cartwright who we had to suffer half a season playing in the halves(for some stupid reason) and hasn't looked the same since. He also started last season with TMM in the halves instead of the more experienced Moylan. You are literally just making excuses up, it was Griffins choice to go with Rookie halves, he had other options and didn't rate them and we know by his past success at this level he is a great judge LOL.

Also where did I ever say coaches would rather two rookies over Walsh and Burns???? I said they would take a combination of Moylan, Cleary and TMM. Neither TMM or Cleary were rookies last year and Moylan obviously is not. You keep making shit up mate and trying to move the goalposts(again), you are full of shit basically. Walsh and Burns were not up to it, this is supported by the fact they both couldn't get NRL contracts in their prime, f**k outta here talking about 'hardened'. I daresay many coaches already picked rookie halves over Walsh and Burns since not one club wanted them.

I think with Maloney arriving the premiership window via Uncle Gus has been forced open.
A player winning premierships at 3 different clubs has been done before, by the brick with eyes, but I'm not so sure about making GF's at 4 different clubs. I suspect Jimmy will be the first if we can make it.

Soward and Wallace weren't NRL halves when Griffin arrived here would you rather us keep playing players not upto standard? We had options in lower grades I have no issue with trying them. The problem was we had only rookies. We needed a Mortimer or McCrone or someone to come in if a rookie failed

Let me see, Soward was let go because he was on his last legs. Experience is no good if you aren't physically capable and he was knackered. He couldn't even hack the physicality in Super League.

Cleary and TMM weren't rookies last year? Its the damn English again isn't it? All those big words get you confused and you can't process facts. Ok, I'll help you again. The Oxford dictionary definition of rookie is and I quote "A member of a sports team in their first full season". Young Nathan had played 15 games in 2016 so he hadn't finished a full season. 2017 was his first full season. In 2018 he is no longer a rookie but just a young inexperienced player. TMM had played only 6 games in 2016. In 2017 he was 21 years of age and Cleary was 19. Inexperienced, but with potential. Just like Moses and Brooks at the Tigers.

You chose to ignore Burns and Walsh getting us to the semis in 2010. You have your view. They are shit. We can add that to your view that Hook is shit. 2 for 2 notwithstanding. You are consistent. You never let facts affect your primal urge to call something shit.

What I don't understand is why when you disagree with somebody, you resort to abuse and mockery. "You waffle on","you talk shit","you are a liar" and so on. It just isn't necessary. Control yourself.

What teams would that be? Certainly isn't ours.

Or the Bulldogs and their backline was trash. I think he's ok as a backup player. But no way he's an NRL regular at any club. If he was he would be a fool not to sign there.
He's light years ahead of Lafai so definitely would at Dragons. Des went off the rails and even a lot of Dogs fans called for him to go into first grade. He would make NRL at Titans and Warriors as well.

Whare is a NZ centre and isn't guaranteed to be in first grade, but alas, he's at this club anyway.

He's not a "fool".

The Oxford dictionary???? Are you for real merkin lol

By the NRLs(the only one that counts) definition Cleary was not a rookie you moron I don’t give two shits what the dictionary says lol you literally have to put words in my mouth and make shit up to even respond, you have nothing mate go away. It’s like you think being condescending makes you smart,it doesn’t mate I could poke holes in your silly long winded comments in my sleep it’s that easy. Keep trying to act intelligent with your big words, it’s a sure sign to the rest of us that you are an idiot.

"To be eligible for the rookie of the year award, a player must have played more than three games — and not more than one season after making his NRL debut."

So Cleary was a rookie until half way through 2017 according to the NRL standard and also the dictionary if 1 season is the benchmark. Not arguing against anyone just helping clarify things.

You're kidding yourself if you think he's better than Lafai. I doubt anyone else... coaches especially would hold that opinion.

Whare was offered a 5 year NRL contract. After 2 season ending injuries. He has job security when very few players do. Whether he plays reserve grade or not he's able to live comfortably here.

Philips has played a handful of NRL games in his entire career and is lucky to even be part of a teams top 30. If he can get an NRL spot he could push his value up and actually have a career.

Philips is literally zero chance at cracking our full strength team. Whare is almost certain to be picked when fit. Not even remotely close.

See, there you go again with abuse. To put words in your mouth I would first have to clean it out with soap to get rid of all the vitriol. You have anger issues and it makes you a very unpleasant person. Maybe you'll calm down and grow out of it when you reach puberty.

"Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience". I should have listened to Mark Twain.
