did you see the '85 series?

we should have & would have deserved to lose it. we won the second test on fulltime after being thoroughly outplayed. the third test was simply a continuation of the second.

true, the year they played the test series in between the origin games. 18-0 in the third test wasn't it?

Wiki and Stacey Jones were incredible. Congratulations to New Zealand. Great result for rugby league, an historic day. Good on the NZ coach as well.

Yeah but hard to play well behind a forward effort like that :(

I knew this wasn't a good year for Aus. Lost the Ashes, lost to the Kiwis in Sydney, blanked, and now lost a series.

Socceroos qualified for the World Cup though

There are some positive signs, I think I saw Petro take a hit up without turning sideways and falling down. Have to be encouraged by that.

Gives him something to work on...hopefully just the spark he needs

Auckmel & Co,

This Kiwi result dwarfs that of the All Blacks in beating four very poor football sides.

This Kiwi performance is on a par with their best performances ever - certainly since the mid-1980s and really is an achievement comparable to their wins over Australia in the 1952 and 1953 series.

gregstar,

Australia was also lucky to win the first test, 26-20, in 1985.

Excellent Kiwi side then. Australia was awesome too - and fortunately had Lewis to prevent the same result as this morning.

generally,

There is enough sour grapes here to start a winery.

Hearty congratulations to the Kiwis. Tri-Nations Champions 2005.

No, congrats to the kiwis, they played terrific, outplayed us all over the park in every facet, too bad we left our worst performance till when it mattered most....Kiwi forwards and halves were just too good
