How sweet it is for international footy - well done Kiwis!!! Brilliant team performance, well played tactically, Hugh Hazard's prediction that jetlag would defeat Stacey Jones was unfounded.

Wiki and Rauhihi were immense, Jones and Webb played well, Louis Anderson was tireless in attack and defence, Whatuira had his best game, Vatuvei was powerful and will be even better next year, Asotasi had a stormer off the bench.

Some of the whinging over selections is laughable - the Kiwis would have defeated any Aussie team that was put out there tonight.

C'mon boys, blame it on the ref, there we go. Does that feel better?

A fantastic game, the kiwis would have won that even with Tim Mander as ref, they were just on fire and the Aussies were C.R.A.P!

This feels better than winning the Sydney match :D

What makes it just so much sweeter is that the Aussies scored nothing and didn't even have an video ref descisions hahaha.

Sadly, it will be shadowed by the All Blacks Grand Slam...

But hey, that's how sport works in NZ.

Kiwis full deserved it, it just would have been better if we picked a better side that could have given the crowd a good game instead of the droporalli we saw today.

This will reach the front page tommorow trust me. Everyone knew the ABs would get the Grand Slam. This is huge for NZ and even those AB fans will be partying with this and not about their Grand Slam.

No way, Union is so much more popular than league in NZ. When you look at the sports paper, you'll get maybe 2-3 articles max if there's a game, 1 if there isn't one and you're lucky while there are easily 5+ for union consistantly. Front page will be "All Blacks complete grandslam" with maybe a 10cm x 5cm side note saying that the Kiwis won the Tri-Nations, and probably a whole page dedecated to the league and 2+ on the grandslam with indepth player summaries etc.

Totally agree....The Kiwi's from the kickoff came out and gave it to us...they were awesome.the Aussies didn't look interested and our forwards were p*ss weak.

The blame for this crap preformance lays in the hands of the selectors and the stubborn,no ideas left,"coach" Bennett.I am just glad that their were no Wests Tigers players in the team for Bennett to tarish their minds and stamp his losing feeling into them.In a way I was happy Scott Prince wasn't a part of that S*it.

Australian fans will have their"sort of" revenage on Feb 4th, when a real coach,Mr Tim Sheens ,takes over a passionate band of lads,The Mighty Wests Tigers, and give a good team,Bradford, a run for their money in freezing England.

Yeah.....Sheensie will have a few tricks up his sleeve for sure.
or Gus, he is the best Origin coach of all time, and it would give him a chance to make a contribution instead of sitting there criticising.

About 15 seconds in this game summed up what RL is all about - an exciting break by Kidwell followed by a big hit and a massive brawl.Great stuff :D

Well done NZ.

Some of the Australian fans in here....pathetic. Grow up and handle the loss. We got our ass handed to us by a team on fire, just wasn't our night.

And consider that probally our 4 best and most consistent players at this level are not playing - Johns, Lockyer, Hindmarsh and Simpson and add to that the retirement of Webcke.

If Bennett goes and Stuart becomes coach, we'll be right back next year.

Once again, well done NZ.

 Mate the AB's could have just beaten the Ivory Coast and they would get the front page over the Kiwis. Just the way it is over here.

Kiwis had a few missing as well, Benji and Sonny Bill come to mind, add the Volcano to that list

Very true but they don't really have anyhting mentioned on the players i spoke off. :)

Maybe one day they will but as of now, Australia were missing probally 5 of the top 10 players in the world.

But Kiwi's are well deserved winners.
