For the last 20 of your posts, I seriously thought Clowndick! was you finishing your post with your own name, like a signature kind of thing.

Hey moderators, for the next upgrade can we get a NERD button please? I feel I need one for this post.

Maybe a little small face of Bill Gates or something.

Seeing that sort of thing pisses me off because it implies the merkin thinks everything else he posts is fact. IT'S ALL YOUR f**kEN OPINION MERKIN!

The reason I started putting "In my opinion" regularly in my posts was because of you and others like you having a go at me as if I was passing off facts when I was making opinions.

Bloody hypocrite. Make up your mind already.

Opinions are worthless unless they are facts.
One needs to understand what developed their opinions in the first place. Was it something your read, heard, life experiences, parenting, friends family,environment..... Now change these factors and would your opinion be different? If so then what's it worth? Your just reflecting fragments and pieces of information you've absorbed.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I'm sure we look sharp during training runs as well. Thats all it was.

The point though is that we are now training in this new style which is what I and others were asking for and others here kept telling us that maybe we were or how would we know? Well we knew because we primarily played a one dimensional game and the players every now and again would tell us in interviews that they didn't train much in certain types of style or play.

So now we have video evidence from the head coach telling us before the Penrith trial what they noticed we lack in from last season and what the extra focus was on during training. Red zone defence and variety in red zone attack. The commentators now call it connectivity. Translation, more bodies in motion, decoy runners and footwork before the line and offloads. All stuff the best teams do extensively.

Will we be able to do it under pressure against the best teams? Who knows, but at least the coaching staff have now recognised it and will hopefully keep working towards getting it right.

When Trent Robinson talks about the Roosters playing Roosters ball or Rooster style of play, this is what he is referring to. When all the players are playing connectively in both defense and attack they are constantly in sync and aware of what their roll is and what their team mates are doing. Everyone in the team is moving and working toward a purpose. There are very few settlers or hitups for example or one out plays without a purpose. Penrith and Melbourne when the Storm had C. Smith also play/played like this.

We on the other hand relied on our power game way to much and would suffer flat spots as the season wore on and also mostly lost when it counted against these better coached teams.

So it is a great thing to hear BA finally start to fixing this very glaring problem.

I think that was overstated by Cronk during commentary. I’ve seen us do it before against weaker opposition when we’ve earnt the right. But not consistently so.

Good signs but let’s see how we go against a better defensive effort.

You think we lost to Penrith in the finals because of our tactics? Did Bellamy's and Bennett's teams lose because of tactics? f**king blowhard. Teams play to their strengths. For us that is our forwards and Moses' kicking game. For us to keep our middles on as long as possible we need to dominate possession, to limit the amount of defence they need to do. That means reducing errors. Let's see how our attack looks when we don't have all the ball. I dare say it will look like it did a week ago when we lost to the Dragons.

It's easy for commentators and deadshit footy fans to come up with a narrative when one side is doing it easy with all the ball. "Oh they're playing so differently now!" But every team is always trying to do more good stuff and less bad stuff. The difference is just execution, not some high level decision to do less bad stuff.
