I think it depends what options you have on the other side. Kenny Edwards and Taka can do a bit of ball playing if they are needed. The good thing is that if both Norman and Foran play on the same side they are decoys for each other and the defensive line will be in 2 minds, especially if they can exploit a poor defender like Soward last night.

From what I've seen Twal looks like our best prospect as a front row forward.
Will be ready for first grade 2017 but wont establish himself till 2018-19.
Big mobile huge work rate motor and heart.I have only seen him 4-5 times but has a future for sure!

Has he finally giving up on his Olympic shot put dreams?
I think he announced last year that an injury caused him to let that go, at least for Rio 2016.

Not sure if he's keen for whatever games are on in 2018?

Maybe he's knuckling down in league training as a result, and will fulfil his potential this season?

He is more traditional because he is playing first receiver and Norman is following him in the play and playing basically on the same side. Happened plenty last night. Last night we played less left and right halves as has been the tradition in the past few years.

Yep. I hope it continues because it makes the attack far more interesting, more unpredictable and harder to defend. Back to the old days when the half and five-eight acted as foils for each other. I'm excited.

I'd argue that it is easier to defend because it is more predictable. If Norman and Foran are both standing on the same side of the field you know which way the ball is headed 9 times out of 10. Then you just stack your defence that side

There isn't a big difference at all. Trent Merrin said as much last night after the game: http://www.penrithpanthers.com.au/news/2016/02/20/panthers_tv_trent_me.html (watch from about 1:01)

Obviously some middle forwards are bigger/stronger than others, and those are the ones you want taking runs at a set defensive line, just like some middle forwards are quicker with better footwork, and those are the ones who cause the most damage against a disrupted defensive line.

But the guys who have everything, like Moeroa, Taumalolo, Taupau and Junior Paulo are able to play either role equally well, and they often do, depending on which other middle forwards are on the field with them.

Yeah and we could play Kennedy and pritchard at prop too. Then i thin we could put De Gois at fullback and i'd like to see Norman on the wing.

WTF? What does this have to do with the tight forwards (lock and prop) roles being similar???? And who is Kennedy?

Kennedy has been dead for 53 years. He won't have the muscle.

I think you'll find that switching roles within the 3 middle forwards is a little less challenging than moving a hooker to fullback.

So was there anything to Kaysa being named at 13 for the two Wenty sides listed yesterday? Did he and King just share the dummy half or was Kaysa actually playing some back row?

We'll see, I guess. But I reckon the defence will have its hands full if Foran and Norman develop a combination.
