I love how it sounds when the commentators used his name. I only got the first part of it though.

Seeing it spelled out helps it make more sense.

It’s a name you have to read, I heard them say it 3 or 4 times and still had no idea

Good solid a hit out.

Certainly paints a clearer picture moving forward

Salmon should get the 14. Wasn't terrible in the backrow. Decent service in the 9

O'Sullivan showed he is ready for cover

Hopgood needs time. Can't see him getting the vacant bench spot on that.

Jennings was decent enough in centre.

Puru, Geyer had a few good touches probably aren't quite ready. Mid season possibly

All in all that was a great hit out. Ivan will be very pleased I would think. Completion rate probably the only downside.

I thought a few of the younger boys may have pushed ahead of last years fringe players not sold on blacker or salmon neither stood out today. Geyer fearnley O’Sullivan all like good .jenning looks to have bulked up even more
All up it was a trial and should be seen as such .but the future looks good

Strange saying this knowing who is dad is but MG2 looks to lack aggression, especially in defence
Yeah his aggression was a bit Cartwright like. His size, skill and ability are so clear to see almost immediately. Just so naturally gifted. But he didn't really throw that size around much.

That said it was only his first match against the big boys. Aside from a soft goal line miss he was pretty good. Get him comfortable against the big boys and hopefully he feels more comfortable throwing his weight around.

Geyer wouldn’t be in the top 17 yet but he will be within 12 months I think. He was shrugging guys off with the ball in hand the first 20 mins he was on the field. I am pretty sure he came on the first half and stayed on, it’s a step up for him no doubt.

Out of the rest of the players yet to debut I’d say Turuva then fearnley and then the 2nd half fullback looked like they could handle first grade. Turuva impressed with the ball and in defence, I’d be more than happy to see him start on the wing round 1.

I know he played long minutes but even in stop start trial. He was blowing so fitness will improve
