Vote for 10 songs

Discuss here.

There is no doubt that The Presets and Kings Of Leon will pretty much have 10 songs each in there and that either Talk Like That or Sex On Fire will be the number 1 song...when it clearly SHOULD be A-Punk by Vampire Weekend

I went with

Ben Folds - You Don't Know Me (Ft. Regina
Spektor)

The Killers - Human

Panic! At the Disco - Nine in the Afternoon

MGMT - Kids

Ting Tings - Great DJ

Vampire Weekend - A-Punk

Vampire Weekend - Kids Don't Stand a Chance

Anti-Flag - Bright Lights of America

The Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be

Birds of Tokyo - Silhouettic

I voted for:

On My Shoulders - The Do
Knifeman - The Bronx
Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Weekend Wars - MGMT
My Drive Thru - Santogold
Which Way To Go - Eddy Current Supression Ring
Come On - Numbers Radio
Gamma Ray - Beck
Ode To LRC - Band Of Horses
Flume - Bon Iver

As for the winner...could be Kings of Leon or The Presets...I'l back a dark horse in MGMT. Electric Feel might very well sneak through and win...

Was the Presets album released in 2007 or 2008?

I reckon they'll clean up the top 10 with a couple of songs.

Kings of Leon may get the top spot.

Just checked an Apocalypso was 2008...so I am expecting The Presets to get at least 2 spots in the top 10.

Well, I spent eight and a half hours listening to the list. I sorta always had the feeling Sex On Fire would top it, and there you go. So much HORRIBLE Aussie rap these days.

Makes me want to cry. Dragon tears.

Flight of the conchords for three spots, awesome work!

I blame the advent of mp3 file sharing and simple recording studio packages for all this rap and bedroom produced dribble.

Nowadays all you need to know is how to work a computer.

The 3 or 4 piece rock band will never die ...but geeze it is gonna take a hammering over the next few years .

I loved KOL pre-Because Of The Times, but I'm struggling to stomach their two latest releases.

They've gone from shaggy, Southern boys playing Garage/Country/Southern Rock to prissy, trimmed label mouled mainstream act and have lost all nearly all credibility atm.

It's a shame really.

Good to see FOTC snag a few places there.

I don't buy that. The notion of credibility is subjective at best. The band is simply evolving. If they still played the same shaggy early stuff they'd probably have even less 'credibility' - either a parody of themselves, or a nostalgia-based act like AC/DC.

Agree 100%. Not really a fan of them anymore. But they would be making about 100 times as much money so you can't really blame them. Slowly but surely they are turning into Nickelback I think.

Yes, I've seen a few people suggest that that's what Metallica was doing too when in-fact they were just releasing crap.
