Thats all very odd ?
There has never really been any "160kmh bowlers". There are guys who might have hit that mark a few times.
Thers have been very few who can maintain speeds above 150.
Not odd at all. I'm saying that Wagner and Starc are not genuine 160km/h bowlers. It would be excellent to have one.
You're now bringing maintaining that speed into the equation for what, every delivery in a match, series, year?
Besides Thommo reckons he did. He thought he could bowl at 180 kmh. Ha.
I'm saying it would be good for someone to come into world cricket and light a fuse of interest with their extreme pace that gets tongues wagging. gets people talking of Lee, Akhtar, Thommo, Tyson, and Thommo again.
In baseball they reckon we have already seen the fastest pitch ever because the ligaments and twitch fibres that cause pace, are not overly related to muscles to be worked out in the gym. Now I'm not a sports scientist, but I hope that is not true for cricket as bowling is more complex (but restricted at the elbow) than pitching in my humble view. I hope we see someone bowl faster than we have seen before.
