To be honest, this is better than both of them if it can maintain the momentum for the season.

The writing is the best I've ever seen in a TV show. Every ep feels like its part of a movie.

Matthew McConaughey is quickly turning into one of the best actors in Hollywood. To go from the guy who looked good on posters, to the guy who plays the roles he does today, with such conviction is nothing short of astonishing.

TV has come such a long way in the last 5 or 6 years.

Agreed, if the final three episodes live up to the first five, it may be my favourite show of all time.

If I can compare it to anything I would say it is a mix between The Wire and Carnivale with a hint of Twin Peaks.

It's a lot better than Breaking Bad. I've always thought BB was entertaining but extremely overrated.

I very much doubt that Rust is the killer and I don't see anything in the show so far giving weight to that theory. The creator is extremely intelligent, he wouldn't do something so dumb and cliche.

The detectives in 2012 think he is the killer either because they are poor at their jobs or they are using it as an angle to get some other information. I think it's the former.

It's not really a 'Whodunnit?' show any way, it's all about the journey. I doubt there will be any big twists.
