Ok Jimmy.. Clearly you can’t discuss football & are just looking for a chance to get personal.. Not really interested & neither is anyone else..

BTW.. here’s a pic from the 1921 season..

Love that black shorts & socks combination...

I hope we bring it back..

Um, do you realise that a black and white photo is bereft of colour?

Hilarious..,note the irony!

Thanks for the laugh :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Oh so, it’s gone from “half the cap’s black” to only “a bit”.

I know staying on the one tangent is near impossible for you, but please try with some effort.

Now remind me, what has been St. George’s official colours since 1921?

There’s no mention of black.

Simple.

Jimmy it's the same as 2019 members cap.
This year 2020 back to white and red,
I think it's much better.

I don' t have a dog in the shorts fight but...View attachment 35306
The NSWRL tried several times over the years to mimic the AFL with teams wearing black or white shorts to denote home ground.
If not mistaken it was trialled several times (occasions not seasons) over the years a couple of examples were when the 2 teams were playing at a neutral club ground and the other if the jersey colours were close.
Thank god it never caught on and the important thing to note was it was not part of the clubs strip it was something the NSWRL supplied them as being compulsory.
I seem to recall that it may have happened in a city v country match as well.

Forgot to add that the old pre season comp and mid week comps may have also tried the black shorts thing but the important thing to note as I say it had nothing to do with the teams playing strip it was all to do with the NSWRL at that time.

Incorrect.

Black shorts & socks were part of the St George club kit even pre making the top grade in 1921.
