I don't know what Smalling was doing on that goal, but you couldn't describe it as defending.

nice little turn of events in Group B. CSKA have made a comeback against Inter and now lead 1-2 while Trazbonspor are still goal-less. If it stays as is, CSKA leapfrog the turks...

Cabral (I think he's who I'm thinking off - the black holding midfielder) and Shaqiri both had really composed games.

Had to lol at Macheda for hitting the crossbar from point blank range. Lucky for him that Jones scored off the rebound.

For someone as good as what Rooney can be, he sure does seem to go through prolonged stretches of bad form almost every season.

Pretty disappointed Osram did not play the strongest lineup but we defeated City when it mattered, more important fish to fry in the league.

@weasel, come on dude Valencia played shit against Chelsea when they had it all in their hands and they also played a dour 0-0 draw in Belgium you're being pretty harsh on Leverkusen IMO

Bayern v Milan, UEFA will make it happen.

No power shift. Teams progressing in CL is a dumb way to judge a league, always has been.

Italy having three teams in CL fixes none of the issues in Italian football. (Dilapidated stadia, poor crowds, poor marketing, limited financial resources). Only proves that the quality of sides in Italy is not bad as most make out, and that despite not being as good as it once was, the Serie A is very competitive.

Only thing this morning proved is that Man Utd aren't very good (worst Utd side I've seen in years) and it takes more than just money alone to build a team capable of challenging in the CL. And City really need better players than Gareth Barry in midfield to dominate games in Europe.
