UEFA Champions League 2011/12

Garbage is probably too harsh but it's not a squad demanding a final appearance. If they sign Kaka then maybe, but does he still have it anymore? Key players are aging, new manager unproven in England, Torres out of form big time.

They shouldn't make the final IMO but anything can happen with injuries so we will see.

Torres will be back to his best this season.
If he can stay fit for more than 3 games in a row

And yeah Arsenal vs Udinese is a big one, shouldn't be a push over for Arsenal by any means although no sanchez has gotta hurt

Wonder whats going on with the Fabregas saga round 3, he gonna be playing for arsenal or barca this CL? lol

I'd much prefer Udinese over Kazan.

Remember that Udinese have no Sanchez, Zapata or Inler. Arsenal however will be without RvP, Nasri and even Wenger for the first leg.

Barca are obviously favourites, with Man Utd and Real Madrid next in line in whatever order. After that there's a logjam of teams who could all take the step up, including Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Inter, Milan and Bayern. I'd be a bit surprised if anyone else made it deep into the tournament unless they managed to avoid those nine teams and got an easy run through.

Should be alright, will definitely need to improve on our preseason performances so far. If we struggle against Udinese we may as well not turn up to the CL. Uefa hates Arsenal cause we actually call out Farca for the cheats they are.

Can't have anyone talking bad about the scum of world football.

Champions League final 2006, Lehmann fouls outside of the box with Barcelona a clear sight on goal but play immediately is called to a halt, Barcelona have already scored but it's called back and Barcelona are denied a goal and have to settle for a free kick.

Eboue dives something disgraceful, Arsenal score from the resulting free kick. Not only did Arsenal not deserve that goal but they deserved to be 0-1 down, don't talk about decisions in the Barca/Arsenal game when you lot almost stole a CL final from b.s.

and if the goal stands the game is played 11 on 11, i would have much rathered that, other than nil all then send the player off for no reason, because team uefa is losing

Best part of it was that the kid who threw it was a Liverpool fan. Bet he still hasn't lived it down.

Actually, it'll be interesting to see how Dortmund go. They played some brilliant stuff last season (probably the most attractive football in Europe), and despite losing Sahin they still ripped Hamburg apart last night. I can see them giving some of the more established top sides a hard time.

Can't go past Barca as the favourites, followed closely by Real, where Mourinho will want to make a strong point.

Besides those two, ManU, Chelsea (if Vilas Boas clicks), Bayern and possibly an Italian club (Inter or Milan) and hopefully Porto will be around (if we don't get bought out in the meanwhile). Don't rate City or Arsenal tbh.

If this morning is an indication of life without Cesc and Nasri then Arsenal fans need to enjoy Europe for the last time.

OL 3-1 Rubin Kazan
FC København 1-3 Viktoria Plžen
FC Twente 2-2 SL Benfica
BATE Borisov 1-1 Sturm Graz
Arsenal 1-0 Udinese

Wilshere was out, and once arsenal have finished buying some players we will be fine, and with rumors of wenger giving Dormund a $17m + Bendtner for Mario Goetze they will be fine
