according to Twitter this morning

Trabzonspor takes Fenerbahce's position in Champions League.

Fenerbahce rubbed out by UEFA for match fixing

Interesting to see that Porto were seeded No.1. I'm assuming winning the treble last season boosted their rankings considerably?

Group A's seems like it will be the most competitive one. Barca vs AC Milan; we get to see Ibrahimovic back at the Camp Nou. Group B would have been quite a group if Fernabache had stayed in.

Maybe City should try and buy Hamsik and Rossi to increase their chances of getting through

Group A, D, E should be interesting....and perhaps F if Arsenal don't buy anyone.

The rest its pretty obvious who should progress

Group A is pretty brutal. I'd expect Man City to go through with either Bayern or Napoli.

Group F should be very competitive as well.

Dortmund is the only other decent team in F. Arsenal will have easy wins over the other 2 and will win the group.

A is the group of death. I'd sell my left nut for City to not make it through.

Kidding aren't you? The way you guys have been going lately, Marseille will beat you. And an away trip to Athens is never an easy proposition.

As for Group A, I think it'll be more clear cut than most people think. Bayern and City will go through. I think Napoli may be overawed by the pressure of getting out of the group. But they'll be better for the experience in coming years.

I reckon Dortmund will win the group. In fact, if they can keep playing the way they did last season and started this one, I expect them to give Arsenal a bit of a footballing lesson in midfield. They are a brilliant young team.

If you guys get your act together you should get 2nd though.

I know I said in my above post I expected Dortmund to win the group, but apparently they are in fairly poor form themselves. The match that I saw (vs Hamburg) was the only time they played well, and since then they've only won one of the following four matches, drawing one and losing two.

Will be interesting to see which of the two weakened teams come out on top tomorrow morning.

That would have to be the most deceiving 2-2 scoreline ever. Barca absolutely dominated the game. Both Milan goals felt so surreal. Pato's one because it came so quickly and Silva's because it just seemed so bizarre that Milan could equalize after doing nothing for large parts of the game.

But it Barca's fault that they didn't finish the game off. Really should have scored more than 2. Iniesta went off injured and it looks like he could be out for a month.

Start of the game was pretty interesting as Barca were a nightmare in defense, and Milan (Pato in particular) looked to slice them open whenever they got the ball in decent position.
