Does that include GPs? Because I'm not sure their cursory, five minute consultations are ever particularly accurate.

was slightly different, was about American indian remedies when it was actually cheech and chong just pulling stuff out of nowhere and giving it a BS name and what it cures to get rich off it and had the whole town obsessed. Was a kid with terminal illness that needed surgery that they just kept ignoring

I've had a dozen different doctors give me a dozen different diagnosise. They do a good enough job of making eachother/themselves look ignorant and stupid.

Not that I'd ever google my symptoms and diagnose myself.

GP's are an odd bunch, my ex-lecturer is one and he puts it down to the vast amount of knowledge they are required to know, and a communication problem.

I have no doubt though that GP's do make wrong diagnosis, they are human after all and prone to mistakes.

Ah, yes, now I remember.

Not that I'd ever google my symptoms and diagnose myself.

Sounds like a typical specialist. I've had about 10-15 diagnoses for my back/nerve problems. One of them ended-up being right, and that took another two years to find out due to testing and waiting for further symptoms to develop.

Another issue is the amount of conditions which are similar, can often be misdiagnosed and so forth.

Exactly. It's not like I'm going to beat the woman or treat her poorly before or afterwards, but sometimes you just want to f**k in a primal, animistic way.

Well, thanks for the clarification Mis, but really not my cup of tea.

I feel like my choice to use coarse language muddled the message. What I'm describing is essentially the dominance in the DomSub dynamic.

Given I'm usually the subordinate one in a romantic relationship (I'm much happier pleasing a partner than I am deciding things, which is why my last relationship was a nightmare for me) - it's sometimes fun to play the role of dominance in the sexual context.

It's not something I've had a great deal of experience in, but it can be an occasionally fun dynamic.

I just chose the words I did for shock value, knowing they'd shock coming from me.

Until someone invents a scanning device that can scan for every disease or ailment known to man people will have to put up with getting a wrong diagnosis. Doctors aren't super human. Most of the time it is about ruling things out to narrow it down to what the actual problem could be.
