As awesome as breaking bad is, it's still nowhere near the mass living room success that allows people to recognise it. Fans of breaking bad call Cranston the best actor on TV, it doesn't change the fact that throughout the series it's rating numbers are barely a dent on the primetime numbers in the US... Accounting for between 2-4 million, hardly mass appeal in a country that sports 320 million citizens... Many still only recognise him as the guy from malcolm in the middle.
