As any Metallica fan should know, there's the song Unforgiven & a sequal Unforgiven II.

IYO, which is the better song ?

Immortal, I'm not surprised you liked the second version more.
A quick look at your limp replies on here really proves you like it soft.
Metallica got old, but in their day, they were God.

100% agree. Metallica were at their best in the mid to late 80's. And Justice For All, The Black Album were works of art.

Metallica with Cliff Burton on bass were untouchable. Newstead had his moments on a few albums, but Burton ruled.

Original for sure.
Personally I place the black album well down the pecking order.
And justice for all is number one in my books

IMO Unforgiven is one of their best songs.

Unforgiven II is pretty f**king ordinary and sounds like all the other average songs off Re-load.

I'm a big Ride The Lightning fan if only for Fade To Black and For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Unforgiven II was absolute rubbish - a sign that Metallica were struggling to write decent material.

Unforgiven is the better track - but even then it was one of the weaker tracks on the Black Album.

The Black album was the beginning of the end.

And neither song is an accurate reflection of Metallica in their prime.

Give me Sanitarium any day

????

Cliff Burton died in '86.
The two albums you named have Jason Newstead on bass, one of which you can't even hear him on.

Did you read the post????

I said they were good albums, but they were a better band with Burton on bass.

So they were a better band with Burton but made better albums with Newstead?
