Interesting comment during the game. Someone said that there will be a team in Wilmington, North Carolina next year. That's half way between Washington and Jacksonville so the game is slowly expanding towards the Axemen. Also means there's a lot of new teams on the horizon. The game is going great guns over there.

I tried watching, and while the video was working, it wasn't too bad. What were the technical issues? Was it due to the number of people viewing or something else?

Any news on crowd numbers? Seems like it would have been an exciting game with the right result for the majority of the crowd.

I doubt it. We saw a shot of the 'crowd' a few minutes before the game and it wasn't much to look at. Happy to be wrong though.

It's fantastic that these two sides are so close in standard and are both improving rapidly.
They will drag each other along.
I'd love to see a slightly better side fly in for the next Atlantic cup that is not a WC qualifier - a side like Italy or Serbia or Lebanon.
A different 'guest' side every year would be good.

Said they'd eventually put up the full replay and the next game is on Thursday night US time which is 9.30am QLD time on Friday.

About 500 in the gate - after a week of perfect weather, we had rain all afternoon and some drizzle during the first half. Crushed the crowd numbers for us. We are expecting a bit better for the Thursday game and a HUGE turn out for the Saturday game. It makes for a great day on Saturday as the USA will need a win over Canada to take the Cup outright (without going to points dif) no matter what the outcome of the game on Thursday

that crowd is a worry for a amateur organisation to make some money i would think 1500 would have been reasonable. Let's hope a strong crowd for the saturday match maybe a friday, saturday and monday night footy may have been a better option than mid week?

The advertising on the site seems to be from sponsers of League products.

Update on the Streaming guys - We are using the crew from the Axemen games and they are doing a 4 camera production (using WAR commentators) - we had band width issues during game one. We tested on Tuesday morning with on camera and everything run fine but once we added the 3 other cameras and the audio we did not have enough band width to upload fast enough. UNF has now dedicated a seperate direct feed for the remaining games and the tech guys are telling me it should be 20 times what we need to have quality streaming.

The rain really hurt the crowd but we are hoping for a decent showing tonight of about 1000 (Tough sell with the home team in the stands and not on the field and the NFL having Thursday Night Football)

Saturday should be the breakeven game - local college football teams are not as good as in the past years so we should not have a lot of conflict with that - hoping for 3000 plus

If they can get the sound working then the next step would be replays. There were some good tries scored the other night (well, weak defense tends to favour good looking tries), but if you blinked you'd miss them. I gather replays are hard to produce though without at least a bit of specialist equipement...
