Personally I would stick with the same side and give em a chance to mold, they did enough to deserve to stay there IMO.

Brown is pretty small for a second rower, yes, but he is built like a brick sh*t house on steriods. Have you seen his arms!!?! Him and Taylor are deferent builds. Hes more of a lock/Hooker possibly centre size I reckon. Hes a real worker, in NYC didnt he rack up 70 tackles in a game?? I think he will be played in the mid field.

My team;

Fish
Locke
Inu
Mannering (whatever side SKD is on)
Tupou
Mateo
Maloney
Packer
Berrigan
Lillyman
Brown
Tai
Luck

Hohaia
Taylor
Rapira
Matulino

I reckon thats a good looking bench. Backline is the hardest thing atm, Inu in the centres is a tough call. It might be a good idea leaving him on the wing where he has done well..

Mara over Kingi because he did well last year and never really lost his place in the team, he deserves to be given first shot early this year if an opening comes up (which in my mind and clearly many others here, it has due to Heremaia's very average form).

Brown slotted in at dummy half better than Heremaia did vs the Sharks, and he still plays a ton of minutes, just reverts to the back row when Mara comes on. Locke was a waste of a bench spot, but still don't be surprised if Cleary repeats the dose.

I liked the look of Sione Lousi last year, and would like to see him continue to get games when openings arise (Mannering in the centres, Brown playing half a game at hooker, Steve Rapira out etc), so long as he continues to improve.

Otherwise, what on earth is the point of making more changes to the structure of the team than really needed? Why pull the Berrigan/Mannering centre combo apart, or take Inu off the wing (throughout his career he has played his best footy on the left wing, although he may have to switch to centre when the Beast returns).

That i'll be my team too. Seeing Inu at centre for the last 20 or so minutes showed he's waste of talent to just sit on wing. He looked really good when he touched the ball more also adds to the Mateo/Inu combo as well.

Locke's selection turned out to be pointless.

Heremaia needs to go, and I doubt Hohaia is his replacement. Certainly not this week.

Locke's selection smacked of trying to keep him interested and involved in the side - surely when you break down a 17 on necessity he's far away from it.

Maybe Ive's "Can use Kev if the Fish has another shocker" option ?

There is a vast difference between playing Cronulla and playing The Roosters. I would be very surprised if the same team turned out on Saturday evening.

Whatever the side named today by Ivan is, I believe it's important that Mannering is marking up against SKD. If we stop him or limit him, we are a long way to getting a result.

SKD plays in the number 4 jersey, so Mannering should be opposing him.

1 - Fish
2 - Tupou
3 - Mannering
4 - Berrigan
5 - Inu
6 - Mateo
7 - Maloney
8 - Lillyman
9 - Mara (Brown or Berrigan can relieve him when necessary)
10 - Rapira
11 - Brown
12 - Ta'ai
13 - Luck

14 - Lousi (extra forward on the bench, for second row interchange)
15 - Packer
16 - Matulino
17 - Taylor (second row and cover for outside backs, perhaps hooker)

...that's the team I want named today.
